  1. i thought this up while i was fishing with my dad in south carolina and i forgot my camera and i said "i better not catch anything big because i dont have a camera". he thought i was crazy for saying that. so then i asked him "would you rather catch a 9lber and not have a camera, or have your camera and not catch a thing?" he said he would rather catch the fish and not get a photo. i would be just devastated to catch a 9lber (or any new PB) and not have a camera with me. so lets hear it, would you rather...
  2. i did actually see a few dead panfish (bluegill and redear), but only a few (like 3). the fishing sucked REALLY BAD! out of about 4 or so hours, i only caught one bass and my friend only caught one. they were small (about 12-14 inches) but they looked very healthy, nothing wrong at all. we also caught a few tiny bluegill on some bread.
  3. caught my first (and only) * fish today. i was jiggling/crawling it on the bottom and then i reeled in to start my next cast and when i was bringing the lure up, it was about a foot underwater and this bass just inhaled it!!!!! i was amazed at how deeply it was hooked. it wasnt a gullet hook, but it was about as far back as you can go on the roof of the mouth. he really wanted that lure. anyway, i noticed that my * would slide down the jighead quite often. i was using a standard gammie ball jighead. i was wondering if using a drop of regular superglue would hold it on the jig?
  4. OH! with that said... ;D ummm, well i would just use 2/0 EWG's cuz thats the smallest size i have on hand and im too cheap to go buy some. ;D EWG's seem like they would offer a pretty good hookup ratio. (you really should be more descriptive in your initial post lol ;D)
  5. ^ buckles under peer pressure (see avatar) ;D
  6. what do you mean by blast caps? is that something you put in the water to kill a bunch of fish that are in the immediate area? and as for the chemical, the dead fish were showing up all over the lake, so if there was a chemical involved, it must have been a whole lot of it. the water was very muddy and there was like some kind of scum pollution on top. not sure if this is a natural pollution (kinda looked like the scum pollen leaves behind) or not. maybe that has something to do with it.
  7. OH! with that said... 1/0 or 2/0 gammies
  8. The lure looks kickass, but it doesnt swim for beans :'( i tried removing the floating tail and it helped a little, but not much. i am going to put a lip on it and then see how it swims.
  9. i was at the local park today, and saw about 20 dead shad in the water. i only covered a small portion of the lake, and there were a few dead shad at each spot i fished, so im sure there are hundreds of dead ones around the entire lake. these are pretty big shad (i think) they were all about 7-9 inches long. is this big for a shad? they were floating and decomposing in the shallow water and stunk really bad! what do you suppose could have caused all of these shad to die? i was guessing it was some kind of "shad-killin' disease" that was goin' around. any thoughts?
  10. well, i if i had to take them off and replace them, i'd replace them with black nickel VMC's, cuz they come standard on rapala and they are kick ***. if i had to take them off and replace them with a single hook, well i wouldn't do that. :-/
  11. soap, water, toothbrush.
  12. Zel, a much easier way than all that ctrl + other buttons crap... i use internet explorer 7, so im not sure if this will work with other versions. just above where it shows the clock in the bottom right corner of the screen, there is a magnifying glass with a plus in it, then a percent (100% by default) and then an arrow next to the percent. click the arrow for a pop-up menu. then select a percent higher than 100. this will enlarge the text on the website.
  13. ^ likes long, boring, drawn out ballads (ie. November Rain) ;D

  18. 4/0 Gamakatsu G-Lock EWG. i use that for t-rig and wacky rig. i really dont think it makes a difference what size hook you use for which rig. :-/
  19. russ, what did i tell you about talking to those under-age girls? hahaha just kiddin
  20. hmmmm, i don't usually capitalize the beginnings of my sentences or capitalize the word "i" but i always capitalize all of the words that should be capitalized in my thread titles. i always make sure i use proper grammar and spelling too. i look words up sometimes if i'm unsure. so i am making a conscious decision to do some things correctly, and other things incorrectly. not really sure what you would call that. i would call it my typing style *bling* 8-) *bling* in the words of T-Rig: "Whoever finds spelling errors can keep them!"
  21. this one: http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=204601606&listingid=5004842&dcaid=17902
  22. i have never used either but if i were shopping for frogs i'd buy *** strokin' toads first (40-50 cents each, depending on how much you buy), then horny toads (about 63 cents a piece). rage tail's cost a dollar a piece, thats simply too much for me to pay for plastics.
  23. ^ just gave a pretty good description of me :-/
