Really, have you tried them. no sir i have not but you can tell they suck from looking at them! my guess is they would never work, and even if they did work (very small chance) they certainly are not worth 20 bucks thats for darn sure. also, there are MUCH better options, you cant argue that.

sam that is a great post. that helps a bunch. i understand what you're saying about when a crank doesnt work go to a plastic, etc. but what does it take to know that a simply will not produce? that is my problem, i can be fishing a crank and think it will work but i could go all day still thinkin it will work but it doesnt work. when is it time to call it quits on a bait and switch to another? i am pretty good at outfishing my dad though . sometimes i feel kinda bad about it ;D.

EVERYTHING! i reallllllly dont like using weights. maybe its a confidence thing, but every time i do use a weight i never catch anything, but i catch a good amount using weightless plastics.

ok. i found a weighted swimbait hook that is 5/0 or 6/0, i dont remember. its the one that came with the berkley hollow bellies. its a really huge, thick hook. its very heavy and i kinda dont wanna use it because i like fishing with as little weight as possible cuz i like a really slow fall.

those things are rediculous and definitley not worth what they cost. there are MANY more natural looking options available to tick off a bedding bass. an example would be to slip on a bullet weight and dont peg it, and then tie on a floating lizard of a floating rapala minnow or something, then when you twitch the rod, the lure goes down towards the weight (which is on the bottom) which makes it look like its eating eggs.

many of you have said "find the fish and the fish will tell you what they want". i have a problem with this. if do not hook any bass, you have no success to build off of, so you cant find what is working. take this example. you are in a small lake, you are throwing a crank. you spend 10 min in this one cove, nothing. so you move to the next cove, nothing. you continue this until you cover the entire lake with no bites at all. well the fish have to be in there somewhere, so it is inevitable that you have "found fish" you just dont know where. how will you know what the fish want if you have no feed back from them? hope my little example wasnt too confusing. ;D

you could take a sheet of latex (from a rubber glove or something) and cut it into a strip that would fit and then glue it onto the peg and then cut the latex into a skirt w/ scisors. or you could go to a craft store and find a sheet of this really thin leather (my local Michael's has it) and do the same with that. get creative!

there are also a bunch of videos on youtube explaing how to rig tubes (and several other baits).

those are good colors to start with. you can texas rig them weightless, or with a bullet weight. there are also tube heads, which is basically a jighead that slides in the tube and the eye pops out the top of the tube and the hook comes out the back where the skirt is.

my friend was telling me abotu something like this at school. except the one he told me about wasnt betting on sports, it was getting a bunch of refferals to click on ads for you. it really seems like its not worth the time....
