Why is everybody giving this kid a hard time for? Take it easy.... cranky..... also, if this is such a dead topic, why did you take up the time to comment.....apparently it does interest you... also, if your gonna be rude to this young guy, than speak for yourself.....dont speak for others anyway, the kid is basicly saying that you can catch many different types of fish on senkos..i get what hes saying i dont have any pics....but iv pulled up many different types of fish on a senko..

IV ALWAYS BEEN CURIOUSE ABOUT THE OWNERS BUT NEER FOUND A WIDE GAP HOOK....i like when the hook lines straight with the top... my favorite are the texposer wide gaps.....most underrated hook on the market....perfect weight and balance for stick baits and kreatures.... but your 100% right....those huge hooks are the best.....i like the 4/0 size the best.....the trout guys look at me like im hunting sharks or something.....lol

yeah, it doesnt actually hurt...i guess that was exxagerating....i just ment they got some seriouse force.....different than a largemouth....a stiffer mouth, bonier

i agree this is all i use, the tiny ones.....get em for 99 cents!!! they are the best,. just let me sit, and then jump them, like a scared crawdad.... caught about 5 bass over 2.2 lbs on jigs this year in the river alone

This has happened about 4 times this year, with my bass that are over 2 lbs....... when i go to lip them, they bite hard as hell! and i dont mean once either, im talking 3 or 4 times a piece...... yesaterday i caught a nice 2.2lber and he bit so hard i dropped his ***....it actually hurt..... its just funny, because every time it happens for some reason it scares the hell out of me... anyone ever get bit by a smallmouth???? you know what im talking aboiut???

I hear ya. It's pretty much my brook trout/panfish combo but who knows what will decide to clamp on. So my drag is set pretty darn loose. i only saw 1 smallie my whole life until i started fishing the river.....they just a bring a smile when their not expected

i am getting desperate....me and my only fishing buddy have parted ways....he moved away im not looking for a tourny partner, just someone to fish with so i do 90% of my fishign alone i am 25, live in the main line area....and I fish almost every day i dont have a boat, but i know a bunch of spots that are great for shorefishing.... anyone find themself in the same spot?

this is what i was gonna say, i get them hitting my line like a bug on the top....they just keep tapping it usually, i lift my rod up so the spot where it hits the water moves around

Dont call the cops.....thats not a man move....GO SAY SOMETHING! I know i would if i saw such behavior....then, if you tryed and you aint getting anywhere, then maybe call the park ranger, ect... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- regarding catch and release.....i HATE it when people want to push their personal views on EVERY fisherman.... Like when i post a pic and everyone has to give me crap about it..... I know i release 97 out of 100 fish i catch.....but i also think that cooking and eating a fish every now ans then that brings me back to the roots of fishing dont forget, fishing started as a way to eat, a way to stay alive, and it is nice to go back their from time to time.... anybody who calls themselves a fisherman but has never kept a fish, is still a fisherman, but has definately missed out on something.... i just think some people are starting to sound like PETA over here.......have an open mind how dare some fisherman get such attitutdes when you keep a fish here and their, if its all about the "sport", than why not go play basketball......its more than that...its fishing

Just got the X-Rap by Rapala.....what a beautiful lure...especially in the water my problem is, i cant fish it... I have never caught a fish on a hardbodies lure since I was eleven (and it was just a 10" perch) How do you fish them, and more importanly when??? lately, the river is all muddy from the rain, and my soft bodied lures and jigs are coming up empty so i got a x-rap and rat l trap and attempted to teach myself......after 4 hours and no fish, i decided i need some help!!! i tryed bringing it in slow and steady, fast and jerky, really fast and steay.....jerk and pause.....nothing worked,..... it looks great in the water, but just no action from the fishies.....at over 6 bucks a pop i should be happy it made it back in the tacklebox! I use spinnning gear and 8 lb test....do i need to use a stiffer type of line? Any HELP IS APPRECIATED!!!! THANKS

im pretty sure these pics up top are from the same fish....i only took the camera out a couple times.... these particular fish were with a blue/blacfk jig and GYCB fat craw trailor but iv been getting them the before on kreatures forwards and backwards, kuttail worms, power worms,

Average smallie for me is about 3 lbs., but 4's are possible on any given day and I get a few 5's every year (although no 5's on a fly rod....yet). The 8 wt. rod is more for the sinking line and bait than it is for the fish. My fly fishing is actually a lot like what the striper fishermen on the east coast do. Heavy sinking lines, clousers, epoxy flies, etc. I don't think I'd be able to throw a 200-250 grain line on a 6 wt. for distance and accuracy without having a very very sore shoulder at the end of the day. your average smallie is 3lbs??? d**n man....your lucky aroudn here i get all excited when i get a 2 lber... :-[

Anyone who is posting the "what am i doing wrong" posts should try this combo in the river...Hopefully it will bring you Luck : A junebug color jig....(I use the strike king bitsy flip 3/16 and think its perfect, nice and finessey in the water) snip the skirt so it lines just below the end of the hook Then the Gary Yamamoto Baby Fat Craw, junebug color, as a trailor..make sure and rig it so the "face" is on tp when it drags through the water..... Cast and let it sit.....pick it off the bottom and reel in very very slowly, but steady will work.....wait for the strike....It will come eventually... Thanks to a lot of the info on here, im confortable with Jigs and they are my Go To Bait in the river.....unstoppable

i could never do that.....not even handle the bass??? i think thats a part of the battle id do that for tiny fish maybe

Pretty crappy outing untill the end....only a couple of hours.....about 4 fish...1 nice one came off at the end... Schuykill right off of trooper road... VERRY WINDY AND VERY MUDDY!!! Anyone else fish that area of the Schuykill????
