  1. Anyone use this lure??? i bought one and tyed it on....over 4 bucks.....and i lost it first cast on a hangup i always thought that these jigs were special because they dont get hung up as easy cuz of their shape, guess not my question is this, is it really a lot different than an ordinary jig? or is it hyped up? supposively this is a hot lure down southb right now.....iv never had a shot to use it SHOULD I BUY ANOTHER ONE, OR JUST STICK WITH REGULAR JIGS??? should i fish it bare? im not a big jig fisherman, and never really made it happen with them before THANKS
  2. i know what your going through, it probably looks like the best spot ever if you dont see any baitfish or sunnies id say that place is beat.... i would try live bait, baby night crawlers, and if sunnies dont even touch them then id say its a bare pond..... i always wanted to stock a pond myself, but its a lot harder than it seems..... i guess you could start netting baby bass and bream, and give it a shot, ya never know get some carp or catfish.....who knows???
  3. i caught a simular looking bass, looked like a cross between a crappie and a bass....real short, almost a panfish shape..... this one is a little different..... could this be a hybrid???
  4. good luck with this, my mother goes through this same thing often just trust the doctors, and try and keep your mind off of everything.... I wish you the best :-/
  5. i cant beleive you guys let the "hole-punch story" fly......
  6. have them start fishing for bluegills and bream get a couple cheap inline spinners and just bring em in steady and slow once they get their first one the rest will fall into place...
  7. iv had a few of them in my box for a while now, they rust, the band comes off, and i also, have never gotten a hit on one a good mid level spinnerbait is the Bouyai baits, their about 4 bucks and are ok for me
  8. itys a good feeling, isnt it? i love that big *** bass mouth they got.... try a tiny white feather jig (has a special name) or a mini tube bait..... good fun, good eating,
  9. where im at outside philly their are so many fricken bats at night that i eventually have to quite because they hit my line over and over again and damage it i dont think this is a dumb lure at all.....i bet this is the lure that would pull that 10 lb bass out of my lake where the average bass is 1lb.... i was actyually thinking about a bat lure.....the pic and presentation is pretty bad though
  10. Im not sure if its the area i live, or what im doing, but I never caught one damb fish on a trap and iv been trying for a while now i consider it the most overrated lure, but i know that statement is ignorant.....how about overated for my use... i have tryed everything, and watched the same exact video the poster did on ondemand..... i give up, maybe ill try the smaller size one
  11. ***one day when i ran out of lures, i took a soda can and cut a big triangle out of the middle. I then hooked the piece of tin and casted out... the second it hit the water, BAM....a 3 lber nailed it, and i got it in......this was the only catch all day...biggest fish i ever caught at the time ***Once I was reeling in a spinner bait real fast, and when i got it up, i saw a little baby largemouth, about an inch long on my lure..... the hook went right through the middle of him...... he was about a 1/3 a size of the lure.....weird, must of pulled it in really fast ***caught some bluegills on a bare treble hook a few times....just to prove that i could catch them with a bare hook *** caught a baby tiger musky on a 5' senko....was about 15" long....no fight whatsover, just dragged accross the surface..... ***caught a snapper turtle on a inline spinner, thought i was snagged till i got him up on the surface...**** broke the line the second it was pulled out of the water ***caught a see gull once in florida, thought i had a real nice catch ***I have bats hit my lure when i cast all the time....never caught one, but once it was close....they hit my line alot when im reel in too... ***caught a nice sized tuna in florida when a shark hit it as i brought it up.....after a 30 min fight, a half of a tuna was brought back on the boat. looked like it had to be a pretty descent sized shark ***many times when i was young and would catch small bluegills, i would put a bigger hook on and cast them back out, 2 or 3 times something so big hit the line that it almost instantly broke the line, AND HIT HARD AS HELL......musky maybe???or a big turtle? i will never know
  12. Senkos definately dont workn everywhere......but mostb places... i can get bass to bite kreatures lures someplaces, others, they wont even stick around to look at it NICE POSTS
  13. i would just drop the whole issue....anything illegal I try and keep to myself anyway people are all very different, that is what is so cool..... we are like bass in different lakes.... I meen, i would laugh at people if they said this to me in real life.....and they would probably laugh at me.... it doesnt meen we cant come together and help each other figure out how to catch more bass, ya know
  14. GREAT STUFF THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAST ANSWERS.... it has to not matter based on yesterday, and even a few months ago i got 3 in the same spot..... all this time i have been usually moving down a little after each catch, just assuming that I played out my stay......guess not THANKS AGAIN
  15. BACK TO THE TOPIC: I finally found a lure that made them hit at the lowered lake... spider parts by cabin creel lures a type of crature bait with a jig head.... I got about 4 nice largemout, one over 3lbs with this bait, but When i lost the lure, i was amazed to see that the bass woulnd t hit a regular kreature bait with a bullet weight in the front....(i was trying to imitate the spider lure) they only hit the spider lure, i lityerly used about 15 lures that day, and finally after 2 hours, got 4 almost back to back with the spider lure i was catching them about 10-20 feet from the shore.... i did what you guys said and found some areas and marked them....THANKS
  16. I can totally see where your coming from, but you guys just took it a little too far.. :-? i suggest a better way to teach somebody something, or to get them to see where your coming from, is to explain it to them with respect and dignity, not to just insult... by insulting this guy, you just put him out on a raft by himself, instead of the possibility that maybe he will actually stop fishing in spots not meant to be fished because he understands.... now he is just on defence mode, his ears are no longer open, he just defending himself like a cornered animal.... He might have been raised that it wasnt a big deal, I know I was......my dad used to take me out fishing when i was little kid on a lake that was only meant to be fished on one side.....and me and dad on the other..... also, this guy tony spoke like a gentlemen, and did not lash out or insult anyone. He handled it well enough were you could give him some slack JUST HAVE AN OPEN MIND.......
  17. Questuion..... when you start catching fish, lets say bass over a lb or 2....do you keep fishing that same exact spot??? sometimes i move on because I feel like i made a scene.....but yesterday I stayed and caught 3 more in almost the exact same spot..... how does this work? i always assumed after I bring in one that tryed to juimp and everything that the spot would be ruined......this isnt always true is it??? thanks....
  18. good question, iv seen people fish these like jigs, bouncing off the bottom iv also saw a show where they act like your supposed to bring it in steady a half a foot from the top then iv heard steady but dragging along the bottom good thing about fishing is you make your own rules
  19. never used one......whats the story they look like the kind of bait that trys too hard....but i do here many of the BIG bass beiong caught lately are on these..... what is the story with these? under what condition, deep water????
  20. Thats exactly what im talking about new lakes or ponds are the best..... pulling up and figuring out is what its all about.......
  21. my favorite part about fishing is how every lake seems to be a different world.... the bass are so different in every lake, its almost like fishing for a different species everytime.... anyone notice this, some baits work in some lakes....some work in others senkos kill in one, but spinners may be the killer somewhere else..... its finding this stuff out that makes fishign so great anybody know what i meen
  22. i gotta say, iv been trying these all season and didnt get nothing.....not once maybe try the smaller one? iv tryed everything..... i got the real rat trap, i got a smaller knock off and nothing
  23. spot fishing bass is the best!!! doesnt get any better,..... i like the GY kreature weightless because you can cast right on them and its not a big splash, falls slow enough i love the action on them, slow faLL, twich really nicely... THEIR THE BEST
  24. I know in saltwater when you see baitfish jumping its a good sign, but what about bass fishing??? i keep seing little minows flying out of the water, is this a hotspot? or is it just crappie or bluegill feeding???
