I have never tried lizard fishing. I just bought a set of baits that includes 8 six inch lizards in watermelon red. How do you rig them, when do you use them, ect. I am completely clueless on this subject so please help me out.

Same as above, I also flyline them...I like the Ragetail lizards...great action for swimimg them over weeds and grass..

Yep, and 8-12" works great in this area.

Lizards are second only to senkos (trick sticks) for me.  I use them from ice melt to fall, usually Texas or Carolina rig.  Rage Tail is the brand of choice for me

I love using Lizards...  especially at one of my home lakes.. if the bite gets tough.. i'm almost guaranteed to start catching fish with one...

I like to texas rig them with a very light tungsten weight (1/16 or 1/18 oz)..

YUM Lizards...  I like either Green Pumpkin with purple flakes..  or Black with red flakes..

not really... i mean.... ive caught fish 15 feet down on a c-rig lizard.

theyre a great bait and truthfully a "realistic" prey for bass in the sense of salamanders and lizards.

Different people are going to tell you different things based on preference. But, I like to throw them around fallen/submerged trees.

Anywhere and anytime with lightweight Tx or C rig. 6" and under. Also weightless or on a light keel weighted hook with spinning tackle in shallow grass.  Lizards are a terrific go to bait when the bites tough. My advice is keep it slow and keep it on the bottom. I think the fish get so mad at'em, they just can't help but hit it 

If you fish'em a little, I think you'll like'em alot

I'm gonna c-rig a 4" and 6" lizard for some smallies this year, it better work!!!

Can't figure why but when most people think Lizards, they think spring or C-rigged. Like others said, different profile bait and will work anytime and just about anywhere.

I T-rig a Rage Tail Lizard with 1/8 - 3/16 oz. weight and fish it through shallow grass. The Rage Lizard is the only one I know of where the legs actually swim on the retrieve.

Yup, I think if you compare the action of the ragetail lizard, you'd be hard pressed to go with anyother..

fish the salamander anywhere you can catch the bass in cover or just among the bank it all depends when YOU want to fish. my favorite color is watermellon seed! great bait

Zoom lizards are by far my #1 producing bait. I have been in the back of the boat with the person in the front throwing a rage lizard and gambler lizards, and never once has that person outfished my Zooms. I have caught a muskie,a few northern, countless largemouth, and a few smallmouth on a zoom lizard.
