ShakE2 Jig Head by Evolution with a Strike King 3X finesse worm

Drop shot

Wacky worm

Spinnerbait or chatterfrog

I hardly used spinnerbaits or chatterfrogs this past year.  The year before, they were my best producers.  Their place in the list is a sentimental choice.

If next year is like this year, I suspect there will be revisions to the list as I learn more.

Never leave the house without:

A good mix of fun to fish and livewell fillers...

1. 5" Watermelon/Pearl laminate Dinger or Trick Stick. This above every other lure in my box.

2. LC RC 1.5 Copper Perch. This thing cast a mile, has great action, and crawls through laydowns better than the bass themselves.

3. 3/16 oz. Strike King Redeye spinnerbait, White. I hate buying Strike Kings, but you can't argue with this or their 1/8 oz. Firetiger buzzbaits.

4. 1/4 oz. Heddon Torpedo, Leopard Frog. Torpedos are some of the best topwaters available IMHO, and I will always leave a spot for 'em in my box.

5. 1/4 oz. Worden's Roster Tail, White. Rooster Tails will catch any fish you care to mention, from Bass and Muskie to Cats and Carp, and I've yet to find a color that will not catch fish.

My 5 would be:

1. Watermelon Dinger

2. Bluegill shallow crankbait

3. Brown tube

4. Red craw lipless crankbait

5. Green scum frog
