went out to texas to visit my sister and couldnt resist the bass calling me only was able to fish a few times but got pretty good results in those few days enjoy! we caught probably 30 bass or more every day we went out but not all of them were good sized like most of these.

i couldnt believe this guy would go after a lure as big as him!

i caught this turtle and thought it was a huge bass and was so stoked once i saw it was a turtle i was bummed!

hey anyone know what kind of bass this is it didnt look like a large mouth to me im thinking maybe a spotted? let me know

Nice fish

The best way to tell if that bass is a spot is to close the mouth and see if the fold of the mouth ends before the eye. The tongue may also be rough, but that characteristic has been found in largies before as well. Spots generally fight differently as well. They are mean little guys, tons of fun on a fly rod.

thanks for the replys guys and yeah i had a pretty d**n good time down there showed my nephews a thing or two in their little ponds on how to produce good numbers i was in the dallas area and sorry i forgot to put in the original one the last picture was actually caught in alabama on lay lake i figured i would just put it in this thread rather then make a new one im thinking its a spot because i have heard lay lake has a healthy population of spots also just curious how much does the second picture look like as far as weight didnt have a scale on me he felt pretty hefty

Dont worry, I only work in Dallas. I fish 1 pond out there only cause its by my Warehouse. I do know dozens of ponds out there though.....Including yours.

haha oh okay yeah the fishing there is amazing to be literally minutes away from the city and be able to catch 5 pound plus bass is just awesome!
