I was looking through some of my Dad's tackle boxes the other day and I saw that he had a Heddon punkin spin, and Big Bud. My oldest lure is a Cordell Big-O that is larger than what they sell now. I would guess about 1/2 ounce.

I was wondering what antique lures everyone else had and if they ever get used?

I've got a really old Devil's horse I believe. It's shaped a little different than they are now, bigger at the head then tapering off towards the tail. It's wooden and painted yellow with black spots. I don't use it anymore but I used to and it caught fish pretty well.

I have an old jitterbug with a plastic lip. WW2 era, I think. Have to look look that up. It is a jitterbug, not a knockoff.

I still have some new lures made in the late 40'scand 50's when I bought them; wooden Bombers, Whooper Stoppers, Creek Chub Pikies and Injured Minnows, RivervRunts, Jetter bugs, Arbogast Hawiian Wigglers, etc, etec. I fished some late 1890 to Early 1900's era wooden plugs that my grand dad had, lucky that I didn't loose any and now cherish in my collection.

Have a bunch of old wooden river runts, bass oreno's, and baby lucky 13's . Still fish them occassionally.

I have a number of antiques that I don't use.

I have no idea of their names, manufacturers or dates.

I bought an old crank bait from a garage sale a few years ago. The man told me that his wife recently passed away and she was his fishing buddy. He was selling all of his gear because he didnt want to go fishing anymore without her. I have never used the old crank bait, but I like to keep it in my tackle box for a good memory.

I have lots of old lures. Dont know how old they are. A Spalding spinner with a baseball on the blade is pretty cool. I still have a lot of lures from the 70s that i still use. I have that Shakespeare mouse and box that is pictured above.

i have a 1673 fishing pole it constists of a stick that is sharp at the end haha!!!

I have a chartreuse crank I got in 1989, and it still works good.

I have a jointed "Pikie" that I know I caught northerns on in Lac La Clothe in 1957. The lure wasn't new then.

I have a few real oldies that my grandpa gave me, but there on display, not in use.

The oldest lure in my regular rotation is probably a Jitterbug. It's gotta be at least 30 years old. It started life as a frog color and somewhere along the line, I painted it solid black. It's been given a fresh coat of black paint several times since. I've caught hundreds of bass on that ol' J-bug, and it's still going strong.

My oldest plastic lure was from 1997, it was a Berkeley lizard, black, with a chartreuse tail and I pulled them out this season and caught some nice size fish on them. My oldest hard bait is probably a rapala minnow jerkbait although I have some spinners that I cant recall when my parents purchased them for me, maybe in the late 80s..

My oldest by far is one that belonged to my Father-in-law. It's a "Tempter Frog"....made from rubber. I have no idea of the manufacturer. I was told it's from the late 30s or early 40s. Guess it's supposed to be worth money to a collector.

Oldest is an original Storm Hot N' Tot, and a few jointed Rapalas and an original Bagley's Fat Cat. Not sure which is the oldest though.

A picture of my Spalding spinner. It has a baseball logo on it. Brass, I think its from 1885. Its rare .I dont know its value because I cant find one like it on the web.

Still have the River Runt that I caught my first bass on in 1958. Steel rod and a baitcaster that the handles turned on it when you cast it.
