  • My absolute favorite color of Senko is Black with Blue glitter. There are others that I will use if my favorite isn't producing that day, but overall Black with Blue glitter takes the cake for me.

  • Never found a color that didn't work as well as every other color I threw.

  • The local club "classic" last fall was won with a yellow senko with red and green glitter, the only senko to catch anithing that day.

Pick a color, any color,...the bass really don't care.  It's the wiggle they are attracted to.

How on Earth did a senko color thread get to be 8 pages???? WOW

I was wondering the same thing. Seems like all the colors work, go figure.

For me:

Black/Blue Flake.

Watermelon/ Red Flake.

Pumpkin. Junebug.

My favorite Senko colors that work well everywhere I have fished in the country are:

1. Pumpkinseed

2. Watermelon with black flake(or add red glitter aka watermelon red)

3. Junebug(some variation)

4. Watermelon with black flake on one side and Junebug on the other(duel laminate).  I haven't used this color combo much but I am hoping this goes to number 1 on my list at some point since I randomly combined these colors while injecting molds

Just realized this thread was started back in 2006, LONG LIVE THE SENKOS!!

The Yamamoto Senko  Green Pumpkin / Watermelon black flake laminate  color (if I had to choose only one) . Otherwise the straight Green Pumpkin with black flake , Watermelon with Red flake , Black with Blue flake and for when bass are really focused on shad  - Pearl Blue with Silver flake are staples and all I need to cover most all conditions . *Do I have other colors ? ...Yes ! I have other solid colors (such as Junebug) and a couple other laminate colors Yamamoto makes which I will use from time to time (just to mix it up) .

213, 297, 208 and 021.

Fourscore and 13 years ago someone asked about senko colors.... :P

Answer is the same today as it was then: my favorite is smoke with purple flake.  I throw other colors, but that is very versatile up here.

Never found a color that didn't work as well as every other color I threw.

Since the lake's I fish are usually super clear water, I stick with watermelon and green pumpkins.

I have found the black/blue flake with blue tail to work really well in certain ponds.

I basically use 3 colors depending on how well I think the fish can see. Green pumpkin is my favorite. I fish it 60 percent of the time. If I think the visibilty of the fish is hampered by the water color or light I'll use black. That's about 30% of the time. If visibility is good then I'll use watermelon, about 10% of the time.

Again, pick YOUR favorite colors and you will do just fine.

#912 (watermelon/green pumpkin laminate) is by far my favorite color. Seems to work well pretty much all the time.

This is my go-to Senko.

Green pumpkin/black fleck or black /blue fleck. Not that it matters, I just wanted to post on a dinosaur thread.

Old thread, but my fav color is mowed grass.  Just wish it came in more sizes.
