Lance......

You sir, are a total A@@ CLOWN!!!!!

Your Narcissistic Personality Disorder makes me sick to my stomach.   I can't actually believe I missed sleep to watch that train wreck.   No remorse, no sorrow, no guilt.  It was like watching a life long politician up there.  (no political talk intended)

Did anyone else watch that before tossing your cookies?

The government needs to hire him (for no pay in lieu of prison time) like they hired that guy played by Leonardo DiCaprio,  in that movie about the check fraud guy.

Lance went all those years being tested and passing all tests.  To my knowledge (haven't been paying complete attention) they stripped him of his Tour deFrance titles,  NOT having any actual evidence against him.

I did not watch the Oprah interview.  Why watch or listen to a guy that's made a career out of lying?

Let be honest here, Lance Armstrong didn't have competitive advantage in the Tour De France. It was still a level cycling field and he is the best cyclist on PED.

Saw the highlights on SportsCenter this morning.  He is a total A-Hole!  You hit the nail right on the head with your assessment of the interview.

While i think cheating in cycling is horrible as i am a cyclist myself i do see his point of making it a level playing field.  Doesn't make it right in any way and i will no longer support him at all.  His cover ups went way high up the food chain too.  I wish he would have started dropping names.

Cycling is the dirtiest sport ever and makes baseball look like a convent.  There has to be something to it when people are found guilty of cheating and they cannot even give the award to the 2nd, 3rd 4th etc...place because they were all busted too.

I so bad wanted to believe he was that much better and from reading about his training methods and he no doubt has an incredible drive to win but it saddens me to know for a fact he was a fraud.  The only positive is he did raise 500M for cancer research.

Common theme for perps:

"I'm REALLY sorry" which is code for "I'm really sorry I got caught".

Well technically he never got caught...always tested clean (hence my cover up comment above) and all was eye witness testimony which we all know in most case is circumstantial at best.

I do believe him that he didn't cheat on his comeback tour but it doesn't negate the fact he cheated prior to that. It really sucks that such an awesome sport is so dirty it is ridiculous.  Hopefully they can clean it up and get back to the old school riders of before.

I think they should go back to no teams, self supported and single speeds :)

And he also made lots of people rich too.....gotta look at both sides of the equation to be fair.

Armstrong is a classic example of our dual nature in my opinion. His arrogance, dishonesty, destructive behavior is hard to understand, yet he was able to some good along the way. He is not the first, and won't be the last to get caught up in 'the end justifies the means' rationalizations. I feel sorry for him and all those he hurt. I also think the sport has some answering to do, and changes to make. Like baseball, they knew this was going on for years and did nothing of substance to stop it.

problem is his old test have come back positive with new technology. The man ran an extensive drug lab for his cover ups. cheating is cheating. Whether everyone is cheating or not. he has no morals or intergrity. and if you say well everyone was cheating well then you have no integrity either. no slinging insults but come on. he is a cheater. like Bonds, Clemens ect. its disgusting

Do your research a little more.....i agree he was a cheater through and through.  But the tests he was found dirty of at a later time were things that were not "illegal" at the time.

It is crazy how dirty the sport was and i was really wanting some names thown out there.....show it all get it out there and move on so the sport can get back to where it should be.

How much did Oprah pay him?  The ratings for her network are in the dumpster.  She cashed in on Whitney Huston's death, and now she's cashing in on Lance's "confession".

Insiders say Lance Armstrong would give his left nut if all this bad publicity would go away. I think he actually meant to say, "the nut that's left..."

He's still rich.

Depends on how one defines "rich".  If it's only material things, and money, then he's rich.  If it's honor, integrity, scruples, respect, etc., then he's a pauper.

I agree Fishing Rhino. He may have far less cash left as well when the folks that he defrauded come after him looking for restitution and damages.

, Add Lance to the list with Tiger woods, Pete Rose, Michael Vick, Dennis Rodman, Mark Maguire, jose Conseco, rodger clemens, tanya harding, lawrence taylor, o.j. simpson....ect, you get the idea.

Great athletes that will not be remembered for how good they were at their sport.

You can probably add Terrell Owens to the list too...lol

Being able to put my head down at night and know I'm not a fraud and cheat is worth a lot of money.

Hmmmmm not sure i agree with all these people. Everyone makes mistakes but those who cheated to get ahead are a different class in my mind. Tiger woods, who cares really. Pete rose, on the border because while he did bet on baseball it was on his team to win. Vick, horrible things but paid a larger price than probably anyone in the history of dog fighting, Rodman, not even sure why he is on the list really, everyone else other than oj all cheated to get ahead in their sport which is worse in my mind.

Remember these are normal people who have a great God given talent that made mistakes and only because of that talent we even know who they are.

Fly, i understand completely and its not my place to judge these people and i dont judge them. Some of them turned out to be great indivuals after they made their mistakes. I was actually rooting for vivk to get reinstated in the nfl.

I was nt pointing out cheaters or who is at what level of wrong doing. But iwas pointing out a list of great (the possibly hall of fame caliber) athletes who made huge mistakes that have altered their images. For example, when most guys my age mention Mike Tyson, they are probably not talking about how great he was. And as for Dennis Rodman, as far as I remember he was always a stand up citizen, but nobody remembers that all they rmember is a guy who looked like a clown and wore a wedding dress.
