I see this more as a wall hanger by the basement bar. You can make up some crazy story to your drinking buddies about fishing in texas landing your first dd bass and this rattler came up and latched on your leg. Poisoned and all you still landed the beast but failed to get any pics for proof because of the snake. You know us fisherman, Full of stories. And of course they're all true...

Sure - but build it on an Ugly Stick blank...not a St. Croix Legend Elite SCV blank...

I couldn't see it even being possible to fish with that rod? It would have to be extremely uncomfortable to hold for very long, and how tough would that rattlesnake head be? I love St.Croixs but I'll pass on that one.

I wonder if it comes with some extra Voodo!  lol

Looks like gandolf dropped his fishing staff......

I wonder if Satan knows someone is selling his rod on eBay??

As a custom rod builder my opinion is.

While not really comfortably fishable, it could be fished.

The seller/builder has imo a lot of hours in this rod.

In the custom rod world this rod would/could be included in a lot of collections.

A lot of the replies here don't take into consideration that this is a collector rod,

not your everyday under a 100$ rack rod...... :Victory:

Looks like something you'd display, not fish with.

I just completed extending the butt section of my rod, I didn't recover the blank with traditional cork.  I decided to go with a nautical theme........ What do you guys think? Not as ugly as the Rattlr!

Interesting, are you going to clear coat it?  Paracord or seine net rope?

Back to the snake rod, why go through all that work and not put better guides on it!

The ad says you can specify your hardware.  Aren't those Fuji K Alconites, though?  Maybe I'm mistaken.

He just sates in the write up that he mounted Fuji Alconites did say abot the series.

He even has the rattle that can be mounted.. :eyebrows:

I like the fact that he states he like building extreme custom rods, obviously found a nitch of his own.. :Victory:

Tight Lines!  :fishing1:

His ad states that these rods are for fishin, but I'm thinking that it would be a great conversation piece as a display.  The ad also states the item is in CT, I would have put money on Texas.

To Charlie I clear coated it with an epoxy. posted pics in Tacklemaking section.  It is 3/16" braided nylon.
