New Pb 9Lbs. 1Oz

Featured Replies

Was super excited about this one. Had a cookout at my house labor day weekend and told my fishing partner to bring a rod over and we would mess around this pond pretty close to my house. I told him not to expect much but we would probably catch a bunch of little ones, I've fished this pond for close to 10 years and never caught anything over 2lbs.

The only thing that made me sick was that I just got a Drift HD Ghost camera a month earlier and I've been carrying it with us everytime we fish. This one time I was just thinking aw we'll just catch a few little ones no need to bring the camera, boy was that a mistake. Lesson learned the camera comes with us at all times now. Luckily my buddy brought his phone for some pics and a short video after the catch.

Really wish I would have caught the whole thing on video it was hilarious when i hooked the fish my buddy heard the drag going crazy and said got a good one? I said nah just a catfish no big bass in here. It jumped about 20 feet from the bank and my buddy went crazy, I'll never forget him yelling holy crap it's a 10lber don't let it off. Thought he was going to swim out and get it. Was a great time and will always be a memorable moment for me. In conclusion lesson learned always bring your camera you never know when your going to catch that new PB. I did get the video that my buddy got from his Iphone, as you can tell I was pretty excited, lol

Awesome fish that's crazy you have been fishing that spot for 10 years and there was basically a 10lber swimming around amongst a bunch of dinks. I always bring my camera for this exact moment.

Had a similar story with me and a member on here Bass Czar I hooked a fish WAAAAAAY into double digits. We had a similar Convo that you and your buddy had. Got a fish yeah probably a 4lber then saw it jump and we both bugged out add 10lbs to that lol. Got hung up in Lilly pads and my mono snapped, totally my fault I was wayyyy to excited an wasn't thinking clearly obviously when u see a fish that big that you have hooked how can you! It has been braid ever since!

Again man great looking fish congrats on the PB! Too bad she didn't eat a 6oz fish before she too your bait then you would be in the double digit club, I'm still waiting on my membership lol

wow nice man! always bring the camera! always! lol

That is just a great looking fish. Great little video too. That rush of emotion you can tell you're having in that video I think is what keeps us all coming back!
