I feel like I'm calling a football game here: @T.J. went wide and @Pat Brown went long and both scored!

Today I caught my first 8" hudd fish... after over 100 hours fishing it over the years. I've caught fish on bigger baits but for some reason I could never get them on the traditional slow bottom crawl

Had my boss and his son over today . Primary goal was bream. The 2nd bream Alex hooked , as he had it almost to the dock , a bass clobbered the bream and he hooked the bass right in the corner of the

  • So I went fishing today, and caught a 9#. Scale bounced between 8-15 and 9-2, but let's call it a 9, shall we? NLMB trout eater.   Super slow rolling a 8" weedless on the bottom in about 15

Vey slow foggy morning for me today.  Fished a new to me pond with very clear water.

So clear in fact I could see the fish look at my tube and wacky rig then turn their noses up and swim away.

Drastic times call for drastic measures so I rigged up a finesse worm on a drop shot.  Proceeded to sight fish bass using the drop off as a highway.

Caught seven.  This one below was the biggest.

You've been exploring all year. That's cool!

I’m truly blessed to have so many options and opportunities.  I could probably go an entire season and not fish the same body of water twice.

The angler in me says I would have more success if I stuck to one and learned it inside and out.

…but I’m having fun doing it my way.

It is fun to fish new water. I've gotten to the point where I might know my pond and my pal's pond too well. Time and again, I can predict when a bass will hit. I've learned where they lurk.

Only way I could get bit today was by bouncing a squarebill off wood.

No shame in the game if you’re catching them imho😉

I feel somewhat the same way at my favorite retention pond, but in all fairness I usually only stop for between 20-40 minutes at a time usually on my way home from work like I did today and it’s nice knowing I can count on something biting regardless of how well I know the pattern.

Grabbed one skinny bass this morning in the hour before work. Lost another when he threw my crankbait at the bank.

Went out for a little over 2 hours after work yesterday evening. Beat my previous record by a lot on quantity for this lake! I couldn't believe how hot the bite has been in my honey hole. I think I caught 12 including white bass. Those things are fat, healthy, and fun to reel in. I'm hoping to keep some this weekend and make tacos for July Fourth.

Very excited to take @Pat Brownand @LrgmouthShad to my honey hole this weekend. I'm hoping the bite is still strong as it has been. I don't think I went 10 min without a bite. Missed several bites and had a few shake off by the boat but still caught numbers in what has historically been a very tough lake.

3 after work Karashi dinks in about the worst possible conditions, slack low tide and 100+ air temps. Had 4 others miss or pop off the hook.

My buddy took me fishing Tuesday morning until I didn't feel good about 10am.  We caught a few good Alabama Bass.  The other picture was too big.IMG_2039.jpg.ef3845cf8aa44c104cb0ee2fdd899366.jpg

Touché.

It’s not my favorite way to fish, but still better than the skunk. 🦨

Went out this morning. Specifically to try a popper. I bought a storm chug bug. I really like how they cast and the action is great. This guy nailed it. Much more subtle presentation that my Choppo. Which the bite had dried up on probably due to the heat. Anyway lost the popper a few casts later. Stopped at fleet farm

and got another and a Berkley to try as well!!

I’m really hoping they produce well this summer!

Fun day on the lil local lake with Jake, @FishTaxand @LrgmouthShad - 4 fish between the 4 of us (one fish a piece) between 12 and 4 and then @FishTax had to go and @LrgmouthShad had to make his trip back up the mountain for family stuff so me and Meagan and Jake went back out for another couple hours and I caught a dink and a fantastic fish on the Aaron Martens buzzbait (that bait has been doing WORK this summer let me tell y'all!)

And we saw the largest hornet nest of all time in a tree line we were casting to!  🤣🤣🤣

Peek-a-boo!

I think I'm addicted to frog fishin!

After the first hand grenade bite I won't put it down...even when I know there are other ways to catch 'em.

Happy Independence Day!

I woke up early and walked the banks of the Chippewa for about a half mile. Only caught two little smallies, but the morning was still and beautiful, the wildlife was out, birds were singing. It was one of those mornings that makes you grateful just to be alive.

Now I'm sitting at home drinking coffee with my 6 month old daughter crawling around at my feet while my wife and one year old sleep in.
