I have the X11 deep diver rod that I use for all cranking

You're gonna love the X10 which is a little lighter...

Anyway, if it was me Id get the Curado I and not look back.

The T3 isn't a reel I would pick for any cranking given its frame composition especially for mid to deep divers.

I would get an aluminum frame reel personally...

I bought a Abu Garcia REVO Toro NaCl Generation 3 this year and love it, holds a lot of line and cast like a dream. I use it for swim baits and crank baits.

Shimano Calcutta 200D ~ delivers smooth powerful cranking performance.

Lews BB1 Pro.

Shimano chronarch 200 e5 or a Calcutta 200gtb

Agreed. A chronarch would be very nice on an x10! I'd also check out the daiwa tatula.

Curado I or E5 would be my choice of the more readily available reels. I have an older Curado B5 that's supertuned and will launch a deep crank almost out of sight, it's my favorite of my 3 cranking reels.

Hard to go wrong at that price point. I used to fish all Lews Tournament Pro's and really liked the 6.4:1 for squarebills and topwaters (I've never really fished jerkbatis). Any of the Shimano reels at that range should make you happy as well. I haven't used the Tatula, but it gets a ton of great reviews too.

Another vote for the 50E. I personally would not throw a square bill or jerkbait on anything with a 5.X:1 gear ratio. Definitely not a topwater either. I use a Chronarch 50E for square bills and jerk baits and I love it. I like a little larger spool for topwater (spooks), but since you say "occasionally" throw a topwater, then I think the 50E would be perfect! It also casts small poppers well if that is the topwater you like to throw.

Chronarch e5.

Chronarch 50e or 51e!

throws the weight down to 4g (Swedish) without problems, it is about 0.1286 oz, think about your choice of rod. I use Abu Garcia Veritas with 4 braided line.

many here on this forum talking about MGX as a good reel, I can agree with those people, but for the money, I recommend Chronarch 50e or 51e.

sorry for my spelling, living in Sweden.
