Thanks ww2farmer - I finally found a application for the 3" Pit Boss I previously viewed at DSG's !!

River Rock Baits Jake's Craw, it is very similar to the Eakins craw. I also like Prowler lures pro small chunk and the Zoom Super Chunk Jr. and the Skinny Chunk.

I boated some of my best smallies this year using Huddleston Huddle bugs as trailers, sans tail. Looks just like a bite-sized craw.

I actually like using the small curly tails off of finesse worms for finesse trailers. I clip off two and stick them on. It looks awesome in the water and gives the bass a break from craws.

I enjoy using the rage tail menace grub. I'm also a fan of the beaver style bait. My favorite beavers are the Sweet Beaver by Reaction Innovations and the Strike King Rodent.

how about when the water cools down?

how about when the water cools down?

I fish the same trailers, but a lot slower. Each cast may take 3-5 minutes.

Baby Rage Craws or just the head and claws off of a 3" YUM Mighty Bug.  Which YUM has stopped making... :(

Try a Reins Bubbling Shaker or Ring Craw. They are pretty hard to find at local tackle shops but if you can find them they work great for smallmouths on a micro-jig. The floating action gives them alittle something extra to attract the bass. I also like to use a devil spear in slightly stained water.

The smallest yum craw papi, which I'm not sure if it has been discontinued or what. 3" chigger craw before berkley changed them. 3" berkley crazy legs chigger craw with the legs trimmed off, which are now also discontinued. I liked to fish these on a 3/16 booyah baby boo jig, which I can't find anymore either! They have been out of stock everywhere for almost a year!

So I'm in the market for a new finesse jig trailer.
