Nice. Did you get a chance to weigh them?

Did not measure her but I think the length & girth were very similar. Caught on a NorthStar  hidden head spinner bait.

  • I caught this one this past spring. 19 inches long, I did not weigh it or measure the girth.

Thanks. No weight. I have never gotten into the habit of carrying a scale. I fish from a kayak so it is generally just a quick picture on the "hawg trough" then back into the drink for them,

Beautiful fish. If you have the length and girth, you can always use the BR fish weight calculator. I've found it to be pretty accurate. I'd guess around 6 lbs each.

That 20 incher is very thick for its length, 6 lbs id say on that one.

here was another Maryland bass from this past July, pretty good shape for a dog days fish but I would have liked to have seen this one back in March with a big belly

Nice, there's some monsters down there in Mined Wildlife Area. I wish I got down there to fish them more often but it's 2 hours to get down there, to the good ones anyways. I've seen some state record class fish in a couple of them.

This isn't the biggest and probably isn't the fattest I have ever caught but she is pretty fat.  At the time the batteries were dead on my scale so I wasn't able to weigh her.  I guessed she might have been 6 lbs due to the short length but I think I short-changed myself.  She was between 21 and 22 inches long which is the same length as the fish in my Avatar and it was 6 lbs.

What's the fattest bass you've ever caught? Mine was this 5 lber out of trinity lake on a 5xd. Girth measured 15 inches. Almost as wide as she was long:D What's yours? What did you catch it on?

He's a mutt and a worthless fishing partner but he's my main man. If I start to load my kayak he loses it, and if I don't take him it's 2 weeks or so before he gets over it!! He loves to go fishing!

I just discovered this thread. What a bunch of pigs. I love it. Caught this one in July of last year on one of those Storm Spin Shads , this fish destroyed it. This was my second biggest of the day , but the fattest.

Nice! That first one is a hawg!

Nice! That first one is a hawg!

The first one had a 19.5 inch girth, 22.5 inches long. Weighed in at 8 lbs 1 oz.

The second one was a full pound bigger at 9 lbs 1 oz. It also had a 19.5 inch girth but was a full inch longer at 23.5 inches.

Both caught off of the same sunken tree way way off shore on the same lure two days apart.

There's a huge population of 5 pounders there.  By mid day, we were dink dropping them, lol.  They all look the same.

I have a place the same way with lots of LM around 5 lb. You'd swear you're catching the same fish all the time if is wasn't for a mark or growth that when you look closer showing you it was a different fish!! It's fun fishing though since they are so scrappy!!

Here's some more from different lakes! The two fish I was holding are a pinch over 25" in length with one at 8.4 lbs and the other at 8.9 lbs which are my 2 biggest LM, but more importantly I hold them differently without jaw jacking them since I've learned that's bad!!
