Does anyone have any suggestions for some good quality snaps? Just looking for some opinions so if anyone could help that would be wonderful.

I use Spro everything, ( snaps, barrel swivels, ball bearing swivels) but generally about any snap avail. should be sufficient. I assume for crankbaits?

I've tried just about all of em and have settled on Norman speed clips. Great snaps and the only ones I will use these days.

I will second the speed clips. The only issue I have run into with them is that they are difficult to hold open, at times I will use a needle nose pliers to hold them open. I also use them for soft plastics too. I use a lot of slider spider jigs.

Berkley has a decent snap, but it can be a pain to get the bait on the snap.

i use the smaller basspro ones. may try those norman ones tho

Kahara quick locks from TW is what I use and they work great.  Never had one fail or open up.  Size 1.

The spro snaps are great. I use the small on trout spinners and cranks. I use the middle size on bass cranks and jerk bait.

Norman's are VERY hard for me to operate, need vice fingers.

I use a mix of different snap swivels. I use the standard Walmart snap swivels on my Carolina rig for changing plastics/hooks quickly.

On my crank bait setup I use only the ball bearing snap swivels. I get a smoother side to side movement on my crank bait. It's also more side to side movement too.

On my spinnerbait rod I use the ball bearing snap swivels too.

Why use snaps/snap swivels? I can't tie knots that quick in the day lite let alone fishing in the dark.

I think the speed clips are garbage.  I still have some i'm using but i won't buy more. they are very small and are such fine wire that they flex while trying to open making for a double difficult time.  i'm burning them off on my light and ultra light rods, 4-6lb test line, and jerkbaits on a glass rod.  i would not trust them on 10lb+ fluoro or on a MH+ casting rod.  

also it's one thing to try and use them in 80 deg water but trying to open them with numb fingers in 40 deg water is pretty much the definition of hell.

#2 Mustad KVD Duo Snaps have treated me well

Mustad Duo Locks. Have never had one open up or break on me.

I think I've tried them all. Kahara are the best I've found.

I've been trying sebile clips high quality - small and difficult to use. Only use snaps on cranks so I just leave them on and retye.

I use a duolock only in the cooler and less humid months as my hands gets slippery with a light leader.  Most of the time and all of the time in saltwater I tie.

I like the Owner Hyper Welded Quick Snaps. Expensive but very durable.

I don't always use snaps but when I do, I use the BPS fastlock nap swivels. 

I've tried a few different snaps.  What's left of each package is in the bottom of a tackle box or bag somewhere.  I never found one that is better (or even much faster) than tying direct. 

Owner hyper cross locks or Berkley cross locks

Norman Speed clips work great.  If you are trying to operate them with your finger nails then no wonder you don't like them.  I use my long nose pliers and find them easy to put on or take off.  My long nose pliers are on my belt so it is quick to change cranks, top water or spinner baits.

The trick is not to squeeze them, but put them on

sideways. Easily opens the clips and allows you to 

motion them onto the lure.

 

I never squeeze them anymore since I learned this

trick.

I'll be the third to say kahara speed clips. come in 5 sizes and are easy to open and close.
