  • I have two Pfluger Presidents and I can't see myself ever needing a nicer or more expensive spinning reel.

  • I'm old school, still use my 1962 Mitchell 300, still my first choice when conditions allow, still have 3 NIB dating to 1952.

Quantum cabo 40, has the drag and line capacity of a 6000 but at a mere 13 oz, built better than tank.

Pflueger trion 20, at about 8 years old it's the smoothest reel I own including the $200 ones.

Shimano symmetry 2500.

When I rarely use spinning gear my 30 size pflueger president works great.

Shimano Complex CI4 2500HGS F6. Brian.

Pflueger Trion or President in the 30 size.

Anything 1000 size from the stradic fj - Stella fe.

For JDM shimano, the compact 2000 with shallow spools are sweet.

My absolute favorite is a Daiwa Revros 2004 but my go to spinning reel is a Shimano Sahara 2500.

I have a patriarch, a polycon and a shimano stradic fj right now. Out of those three my favorite is the shimano stradic. It's not as pretty as the patriarch, it's not as common as the diawa. But it's much smoother, casts further and has been more reliable for me. It's paired with a st croix legend tournament medium xfast rod with 10lb power pro.

I like the certate lineup. Bulletproof reels.

Pflueger president 6930 with 6 or 8 pound test. Anything above 8 pound test I use casting gear.

I have a pair of 2004 size Daiwa Certates. Doesn't get much better than that.

penn feirce in the 2000 size had 2 of them for 3 yrs now they both pull double duty fresh and salt.also have a few 500albi size garcias i have had for 6 yrs little workhorse reels at 7 oz they can do ultra lite to light and have very smooth consistant drags

I really like the stradic fj in 2500 but the pfluger supreme 30 (I've caught most of my fish this season on it)is growing on me. I learned after wasting about 30-40 yards of braid not to fill the spool all the way up. I was getting wind knots like nobody's business for a bit but it's good now.

I really like my stradic ci4+ but my pflueger president does the exact same thing at a cheaper price. Gotta love the presidents

Shimano Symetre 2500. I've been fishing with them for years.

I only have two lol

a stradic ci4+ 2500 and a stradic fi 4000

I like the ci4+ the best

I use the fi for skipping and the occasional walk on shore

Pflueger president.  Like it just as much as my Stradic Ci4 at way less money.  Not as light, but just as smooth.
