I'm new to fishing but I fell in love about a month ago and I've been going every evening after work with my son.

I'm not too good with weights and I haven't got myself a scale yet. Anyone know round about how big this one is? Biggest one I've caught so far!

    As long as it's just a guess, I'm guessing 3# 7 ounces.

    Well, next time carry a ruler, measure length and girth, with those measurements you can check with BR´s weight calculator, it´s not 100% accurate but still very close.

    But if you'd have straightened your arm just a little more, it might have gone 3 1/2

    Thanks a lot guys! It sure felt heavier than 3 but you guys know more than me! Maybe they always weigh more in your head? Haha

    It appears to be around 16in. which, depending on it's girth would put it in the upper 2lb. to low 3lb.

    3-4 pounds is my guess.

    Sorry, I'm a protective father of 4 boys, I always require

    them to wear a PFD... So many things that could go 

    wrong in a boat.

    Thank you for your concern! I too am a protective Father! We had the boat pulled up onto the shore where he was standing and he just had to jump in to see the fish!
