John Entwhistle and Zak Starkey showed up at a local blues venue one night and just started to jam.

 

Couple of interesting stories 

Saw Ozzy/Metallica and the show was stopped early because Jake E Lee did a drunken header off the stage and was taken away in an ambulance

Saw Foghat at a bar and I fell asleep only to wake up when the show was over and the drummer was trying to get into my ex wifes pants

Saw Barry Manilow on Valentines day this year. I have never actively listened to any of his music yet I knew every song

Saw Guns N Roses get booed off the stage before they ever hit it big. They opened for Alice Cooper.

 

Going to see Tim McGraw on Saturday...whoever that is. The wife and step daughter are dragging me. Never heard of the guy Apparently I'm going to see Luke Bryan in October. Don't know who he is either. 

Who are some of these people!!

I was taken kickin and scratchin to Cher's final concert and it wasn't bad.

But...The only one I'll stand in line for is Smokey!

When I'm out there fishing at 4am in the dark. As the sky starts to light up while it's still twilight I think of Louie Armstrong's song what a wonderful world. Who has a better view than me.

When I was logging. I shut the saw off and sat on a stump while the snow was falling. It was so quiet I could hear the snow hitting the ground. Who had a better work place than me.

My point it's nature painting a picture or natures music. I'm happy to be a part of it. There to see it. There to hear it.

I grew up in the 50's, 60's 70's music era. This went from rockabilly, to rock n roll it was the best time for music development. I like all music even hard rock, heavy metal, ozzy, even Beethoven at times. Ill never forget the 50's

But my wind down music is Enya the Celtic music the voices of angels. I sleep to that. She cleanses my mind and soul.

I saw Sevendust, Stoned Sour, Chevelle, and Disturbed at Twisted Christmas one year, that was pretty awesome.

I got to meet Brad Paisley when I was working at Cabela's (he's an avid bass fisherman and was shopping before his concert). He was looking for some stuff, I helped him out and he gave me 2 tickets to his show that night. Turned out they were dead center, 4 rows back. It was a pretty cool experience. 

Well, I'm going to age myself. Saw the Stater Brothers in concert in Charleston SC many years ago. After the 3rd or 4th curtain call they came back out in street clothes after being gone a long time. They said "if you want to hear us that bad we will stay and sing". They performed several more songs before telling everyone they wanted to meet everyone that attended and invited everyone on stage. The crowd just refused to leave. A memorable night.

Have attended the Grand Ole Opry several times this year, but prefer the Ryman.

God smack and Deftones was pretty memorable. Cradle of Filth was probably my favorite concert of all time. However, Alice Cooper was the best show I have ever been too in my life. He was absolutely amazing and put on a killer show.

There have been some really good ones. Hard to even try to pick.

The Black Crowes live outdoors is amazing

I saw a Nine Inch nails show once that blew my mind which I wasn't expecting.

Galactic puts on a killer show too.

Sharp Harp & The Blades was probably the best ever though and they aren't even famous. Man what a show. Best blues performance I've ever seen hands down. Full brass section, keyboard and harmonica. I still think about it all the time and wish they would play again. I would go anywhere to see them rip.

Best concert?  Of the dozens of bands I've seen there have been a couple "bests".

 

As a hardcore Doors fan that is too young to have seen Jim perform live (I was not quite 2 years old when he died) my favorite concerts were seeing Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger with different singers.  (John Densmore wasn't with them - he was too busy whining and suing them).  I saw them with Ian Astbury on vocals in PA and again with Brett Scallions in VA.  Awesome...

 

I also saw Type O Negative twice before Peter Steele died.  RIP Pete!!

 

And of course let's not forget Neil Diamond.  I've seen him 4 times.

 

Eclectic musical tastes?  CHECK!!!

Probably my kids school concerts. You don't forget those.

I followed the Dead on the east coast leg of their 1990 tour. By far the best experience of any concert(s) I have attended.

Just got home from Tim McGraw. I thought it was subpar at best. I knew 2 songs. Truck Yea and Tiny Dancer by Elton John. The women running around in cowboy boots and daisy dukes made it all worthwhile.

My Ex drug me to Tim McGraw once. I was just starting to work midnights then. It was so boring I literally fell asleep in my seat during the concert.

The 2 opening bands had a better sound. The wife was even disappointed until her buzz kicked in.

I did that at a Brooks and Dunn concert. I left my seat and went to the back row and napped through the whole show.

So many good ones... I attended the first six OzzFests here in Camden/Philly. That experience alone exposed me to many top notch bands.  Never a dull moment.  

 

The old school bands never disappointed...My favs include Metallica, Ozzy/Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Kiss and Motley Crue.

Saw megadeth at a tiny college, maybe 200 people..right in front..no seating at all in the gym..went to chinese food with the band before that. Sully lives a mile from me, see him around town on occasion, partied at his house one night. Never have seen godsmack in concert.

I used to get into the big amphitheater here in Dallas for free, anytime I wanted and with however many people I wanted.  I've seen a ton of big shows, too many to list.  

 

My favorite show was actually somewhere else, Tarrant County Convention Center, to be exact.   I saw Pantera play in about 1995, it was by far the rowdiest, craziest show I've ever been to and the band fed off of it.  I saw them a few times after that but it never lived up to the first time.

Umphrey's Mcgee every time I see them. Umphtastic!! Brendan and the boys never fail to leave me saying "holy s***" for pretty much the whole show...

I am probably on the older side for this forum.

That being said, the best " Show on stage ".

For me that's easy.

I would fall asleep at anything country.

Can't stomach country music.

AC/DC..............for old farts, they still kill it live. I have seen them 3 times (all during the Brian Johnson era, I was 5 when Bon Scott died). The first time was inthe mid 90's on the Ballbreaker tour in Florida, and the last time was during the Black Ice world tour in Buffalo, WNYbassman and I had semi-nosebleed seats, but it was still a good show. I also saw them at the S.A.R.S. concert in Toronto in 2003, and even though they "opened" up for the Rolling Stones, they blew them off the stage.......I was so unimpressed with the Stones that we left early to beat the traffic. The only other bands I have seen live multiple times was the hair band Poison, and depending on how much "medicine and cough syrup" they imbibed in pre-show, either they killed it or stunk. And the other, while not a fan of country music, was Montgomery Gentry, and I enjoyed both shows.
