Today...may not really be chips...and may not be the best, but try eating less than enough to make you sick of them: Cheese Balls - Planters preferred, but Utz will do....only Utz chips I can tolerate

I like to support the local farm economy, since my livelihood depends on it. A lot of the locally grown potatoes go to Wise, so when I do buy chips (which is not often, despite what my avatar picture implies) I buy Wise.....plain old ridged chips with some bison french onion dip is pretty tasty to me.

Salt and Vinegar is hands down the best. Most commonly found as kettle cooked but I like them as a regular Lay's if I find them too.

Cape Cod Salt and Vinegar are amazing.. Utz is good too..

Many on here won't even know who he is/was.  The last time I saw Eric "Enrique" he was doing an infomercial.

Lays, though I didn't like them when they first appeared in this area.  The best chip back then was Made Rite, nice, thin, golden, salty, and delicious.  Made Rite was bought out by Frito Lay, and I did not like the version of the chip they made back then.  They were often brown in color, thick, and were more like cardboard.

 

They must have cooked the potato chips like they were Fritos.  It just did not work.  Then they tried cooking them in olestra or whatever the oil substitute was.

 

Now, they are more like the old Made Rite.  Most of the time, we get the Classic version.  I also like the salt and vinegar, and the sour cream and onion, but my wife can't stand those.  But she does like Ruffles, and the Ruffles on steroids Wavy chips.  Ruffles have ridges, but Wavy has ditches.

Chips aint as bad as they used to be i prefer UTZ they use peanut oil.thks yall also for the mom and pop named brands i have tried a few of them and even though not mainstream they have a better taste then massproduced chips.

UTZ Sweet potato are my weakness, so I never buy them. They rarely last over two days.
