I don't really wanna spend $15-25 on a Lucky Craft or a Megabass, so what are some decent ones under that price range. 

Buy LC during a sale is my tip. Or some Smithwicks. Also... Lucky Craft makes a new 10 dollar jerkbait called the lightning pointer. That may be something you're interested in

Rapala shadow rap, it worked pretty good for me. The only problem I had was I lost two of them because the Musky appear to like them too.

idk about you but the shadow rap just hasnt gotten it done for me and my buddy who i fished with smoked me on a storm twitch stick today 3:0

Look for deals..I've bought quite a few LC pointer 78s/100s from two different Scheels this winter for 9.99 a piece. Aside from that the Rapala Shadow Rap is a great bait that I've only had minimal use with. 

Suspending or the Super Rogue for cooler water and the floating Rogue for the summer.

Rapala Husky Jerk 

The good less expensive jerkbaits I've found are the rouge, rc jerkbait, and the Strike King jerkbait. They're all good baits and for a reasonable price.

Shadow raps out produced megabass for me this year. 

I like the academy h2o jerkbaits.   They work awesome for me,  and have good hooks. 

Any of the Smithwick Rogues, to me they are just as good as the high price jerkbaits.

I just picked up a Luck E Strike RC jerkbait and really like it.

 

Dont know if they are considered a jerkbait but i use bill lewis slapstiks if you can find them

Like others have said look for deals my local Field and stream just had LC Pointers 30% off. 

I have only used rogues, Spro Mcsticks, shadow raps, and husky jerks.  And I have caught far more fish on husky jerks than all others combined.  They also happen to only be about $5 apiece.

I second H20's jerks, their 110 knock offs are excellent

Yep. 5 bucks. Under 10 bucks look at the Yo Zuri 3DB minnow. Out produced everything else in my jerkbait box this past year.

Storm Twitch Stick and the Yo-Zuri 3DB Jerkbait are both great but the Twitch Stick is $5.50 or less most of the time and they come with good hooks out of the box. When they came out, TW had them for $4.99 and I got a couple to try out, I now own a dozen, under rated bait is all I can say. You'll often hear they don't suspend well, the truth is they don't suspend well when the water temp is under 45 degrees but from 46 to 55 they are killer, the size 10 suspends better than the 8 but the 8 only needs 1 suspend dot and it is perfect. I'm giving details with that bait because it is the least expensive and the absolute best buy in jerkbaits, they have a triggering quality that I have only witnessed from 1 other bait. When you stop the bait, it has a wobble or vibration as it sits in place, the fish can't stand it. I like pearl and threadfin shad in water with color and the new ghost wakasaki, ghost pro blue, and ghost herring are killer in gin clear water.

Back in olden times, Rogues were the jerk bait of choice.  In the era of pre-suspend dots, you wrapped wire around the hook shank.  Bending out the hooks helped, both in making the wire wrapping easier and sticking the fish that just swiped at the bait.   Use a pretty light drag.

In that same time frame, both Smithwick and Rebel made a spoonbill, deep diving jerk bait, that you would experiment with weights the same way.   Both those baits are not very much more expensive now than they were then.   If you can find any of the old original G finish baits, they had a very neat "strobe" or flash when they caught the light 3 feet down or so.
