  • My dad or my grandfather. Because neither can fish anymore and we had great memories fishing when I was a kid.

  • Probably at least a couple dozen Bass Resource Members! Why? Why not!

If y'all wanna learn how to locate productive water quickly no one is better than Larry Nixon...not even KVD!

My dream day of bass fishing is when my kids get old enough/interested enough to want to spend the entire day fishing with their old man. At ages 6 and 11, I have learned to not push it much past the first few "daddy can we go now" , I don't want them to hate it.

My grandfather would for sure be first without a doubt, but since you stated a pro, it would have to be Ike just because his passion for the sport is addicting. He seems like he'd be a blast to hang out with for a day, and I loved his city limits show.

He didn't state "pro" he actually said "famous". :)

I would have to say either Todd Faircloth to learn from or Andy Montgomery to talk trash with....

Shinichi Fukae or Jimmy Houston

Roland on the "Big O". Oh son!

Him or Scott on the Big O would be a day to remember forever. So much you could learn from them, especially on their home turf.

Monster Mike catch Peacock Bass. He always catchs huge Peacocks down in Flordia. Or Thefishwhisper1 (look him up on instagram) he has his personal pond with trained bass and he does sick tricks. Also of course the legend Bill Dance and fish one of his lakes with him. Or one the tour It would be Ish Monore and flip pads with him

This is tough because there's so many different pro's that I'd like to go with for a particular technique they do well. But I would probably choose Tim Horton because he's such a darn nice dude and obviously an excellent angler. Brent Ehrler comes to mind because he seems to be a nice guy but more than that he's extremely impressive. He's a bad arse! Keith Watson just because he's so funny and I'd like him to show me how to whack em' with that spoon. Zona and Mercer I like too! Mercer is absolutely hooked up with gear....amazing amount of money on the deck of that boat at all times, not to mention his tackle. Impressive. Also, maybe the guy that owns Roman Made. He has a sick set up and amount of gear and tackle too. I need to learn how to catch em' on those big glides....language barrier might hurt the lesson a bit....LOL

This is just too hard, I give up!  lol !

Probably the best worm fisherman to ever pick up a rod IMO, something tells me you may have spent some time on the water with this feller... hhmmmmm,  :)

"Famous"....?

Lots I'd really enjoy fishing with, but I guess I could narrow my top 3 or 4 to Buck Perry, Rick Clunn, Al Lindner and Bill Binkelman, in no particular order.

Larry Dahlberg

I'd have to say either Iaconelli or here lately I'd like to fish with Mark Daniels. Started watching him on circuit breaker and been following him on social media also, just seems like a real cool guy that would be fun to fish with.

I too am old school when it comes to the pros.  1). Hank Parker, because he would keep you laughing while your learning.  2).Bill Dance, a good person, funny, and one of the best all around.  3). Jimmy Huston, funny and a great spinner bait guy.

Funny, great sense of humor is an important factor.

We belonged to the same bass club!

In Megabucks tournaments the lake is divided into 10 sections, the top 10 qualifying anglers rotate through each section every 50 minutes.

Larry Nixon won 4 times ;)

I am thinking a little out of the box here... Theodore Roosevelt. I know he was an avid fly fisher, but I think he would be the type of guys telling "dirty" stories while fishing.

I think it would be Bill Dance:  I grew up watching him on TV and really fell in love with the sport because of him.  I love that he puts all of those crazy bloopers of himself out ever so often.

A lot of guys could really teach me a ton about fishing but few can tell a story like Dance.   Jerry M would be in the top five as well.    My first thought actually went to Mark Zona but I don't know what to make of his appearances like at the Detroit fishing show.  One night only and one time only.....

I have never met any of these guys so its really a crap shoot as to who would be the most fun to spend a day on the water with

A few Elite series guys I would want to fish with. My top choice definitely wouldn't be Aaron Martens or KVD

I'm curious...  Why not either of those guys?

Dare I say mentor ? if so, I don't think you could have picked a better one, what a great bass club to be associated with.

Probably Brandon Palunik. His hometown is really close to me in northern Idaho, and I know hes spent alot of time fishing lake CDA, hayden, and pend oreille. Would be interesting to fish those waters with him.

I don't know. I'd just rather fish with someone else I guess.

Patrick McManus. Maybe not famous for fishing, but how would that trip NOT be enjoyable? :)

I only get to do it once a year, but these guys are a lot of fun to fish with:

My daughter just started high school so I'm on borrowed time with here.

This was 4 years ago.
