Im open to suggestions.  From searching it seemed to be a popular yrailer Along with rage menace and pitboss.

I use swim senkos in both sizes. Tail sizes are nearly identical. Length and how much you bite off is the biggest factor in a 4 vs 5 senko. They do not las long but are great action wise. The skinny dipper is a great trailet as well. Rage craws are a great trailer as well. I really use the skinny dipper and rage craw the most. 

I've used the 5" cut down as well as a little off the 4" Swiming Senko, and have put a small drop of glue on the trailer to keep it up on the jig and make it last a bit longer.  Also may try the Swiming Flukes as a trailer or a standard Fluke also works well.

I like the bulk of the bigger bait. I don't use the GYB though, instead I use the YUM swimming Dinger. A regular 5" stick worm trimmed down an inch or so is a good bladed jig trailer also. It's a good subtle trailer for colder water.

Like Blue said, the Swinin' Dinger is a great alternative as well a Big Bite Baits Cane Thumper. Due to the Cane Thumper design though you won't be cutting it down, but even so you'll still be using it longer than a swimin senko. 

Thank everyone, this is a bait in 2016 I really want to work on.  I've caught fish here and there on it, but usually just grab my trusty spinnerbait and simply don't fish it enough.  I'll just try a few and see what I like.  

I generally use a swing impact for chatterbait trailers, do you guys feel the swim senko makes a better trailer for a chatterbait?

I use a headless Skinny Dipper exclusively. See no reason to change...Yet

i use the 4.5 i will cut it down if i need a smaller trailer

If you can find them, Gambler makes a shad shaped bait - the Flappin Shad - which has a paddle tail, compared to the boot tail of previously mentioned baits.  They work good for me and seem to last well.

For some reason, boot tail style baits almost negate the action bladed baits impart........... just me????!!!!

I like fluke style trailers for those applications!

Kietech easy shiner 5" is durable yet swims good without killing the chatter bait action with lots of colors to choose from.

I like a Devils Spear rigged vertical or a Rage Menace rigger both vertical and horizontal.
