Right?! Is it too soon to count the minutes? Beautiful fish Ajay. They have such incredible color and detail! Big fish here tend to be very dark and only the little ones have such pronounced stripes and patterns. Lucky guy!

A few favorites all caught on a custom St Croix legend extreme blank MHM and 10lb braid with a mono leader fishing jerk baits.

  • Both of these were taken using my St. Croix LTB 6'10" ML/XF throwing a drop shot 1 with a Berkley Bottom Hopper Jr. , the other with A YUM Warning Shot or Kill Shot. Caught on St. Croix Lege

Here's a favorite pic of a 4.5 lb. smallie which is a decent fish, of course, but memorable because It took a bait I had doubts about: the Duo Realis Spin Bait 80. This is an unusual looking lure whic

My go to topwater smallie spot, caught her on a Sexy Dawg Jr. thrown on a Daiwa Tatula 100HSL attached to a 6'6" Daiwa Lexa and 30lbs Power Pro Super 8 Slick in timber brown.  What made her special? This is the first fish that I couldn't fit into a selfie picture...lol

This was a couple years ago.  She was a heavy 5, not my biggest, but I think it's a cool pic.

I 'm experiencing technical difficulties lol to get pics posted but my biggest 6.2 & 6.5 came on back to back casts on a strike king goby.

7lb-6oz.

From the Susquehanna last month, my tube hanging from the smallmouth's jaw, another tube (not ours) in the middle, and a live crawfish to the right.

I think its a fair bet to say that guy likes crawfish!!

The first fish was so much fun. It hit a surface lure at the end of a long cast. I was reeling the lure as fast as I could to follow up with a Senko when it hit again. Then it hit a third time as I was pulling the lure out of the water and hooked itself. I love the shape of the second fish. For photos, I do my best to crank my arm back to get the fish in line with my body to best assess its size. Both fish were caught years ago as I haven't fished in six years, but that all changes next month when I'll fish for 23 straight days in northwestern Ontario. Both fish were caught from a Bell Kevlar canoe with Fish Eagle rods and Shimano spinning reels.

Dwight, I know why you liked my post. You want to know where I caught my smallmouth so you can catch some to use for bait to catch your smallmouth! :P

A-Jay, I like how you change your angles when you pose with your pigs.

Wisconsin Heat, your fish look so healthy!
