Mariners WIN!!  They are officially in the playoffs for the first time in 21 years!!

Congratulations!

Hot ballclub with some good arms, and a difference maker in center field, the AL is not nearly as tough as the NL.   Wonder what their odds are to win the AL pendent, might be a good play.

Many teams of recent year, most notable the Braves last year proved October is all about putting the lightning in the bottle.

I'd never root for an AL team though personally, filthy thinking about it ?

  • I was only one when the Dodgers moved to LA.  I understand my uncle got in a heap of trouble from my aunt over this picture of him and a movie star that appeared in in Life Magazine.   https

With the Universal DH this year, we’re all equally sinful.

We're all repenting in the offseason however, and the Shift is being outcasted to the land of fire.   The saints have also decided to give us a pitch clock.

They win today is all but over, and the Mets will have out Met's themselves ?

Fish are sitting Sandy A for the rest of the year too.....imagine how mad that must make the Mets

I was looking forward to a Sunday matinée after a cold morning on the lake, but they’re the late game tonight. I guess I can wait a few hours for the brooms to come out!

Goes to show you how nationally important and viewed this series is.  Big Fox Saturday Baseball game, and now the ESPN Sunday night Baseball game.

I hope my thoughts in a few replies earlier don't play out that way, but Bassett has shown to be the only stopper in the rotation the last month.   On the other hand, it's not a day game which improves the Braves chances by 50% in general.

Morton just got paid $20 million two days ago, and if he can command the slider.....Braves might just put a stake through their hearts tonight.

Felt like two teams going in opposite directions.....magic is everything when the air gets snappy, could Braves catch it again, I'm ready for another magical ride that's for sure.

They lost their perennial MVP-candidate 1B to free agency, Acuña who is potentially their best hitter has been on and off the field all year with injury, and same with Ozuna, and Albies has been hurt all year. And the offense still hasn’t missed a beat.

Strider should take ROY.

Told my girlfriend to get ready for another Braves postseason and she is not thrilled. I drove her crazy screaming at the TV, pacing back and forth last year. I didn’t miss a single second of their games, and I don’t think I sat down for a single second either. Especially during the Dodgers series and the Luke Jackson almost-fiasco.

Love this time of year.

Sox are out of it but I'll be watching as much as I can.

On a sad note, Dennis Eckersley will be retiring from the Sox booth on Wednesday. Man, was he funny!

There is a beautiful poem that related Baseball to the changing seasons.....

Something like when Baseball season starts, it coincides with all the beauty emerging from winter in nature, and when Baseball finally ends, the darkness of winter descends upon us, and everything dies back for the winter.

I remember reading it right after the Braves won last year and can't remember a poem hitting home as well as that one.   Dang I wish I could find it.

Baseball season begins right when the ice starts to melt up here, and by the time the World Series is over, the water is very cold, the trees are bare, and the fishing is a little tougher, and frozen lakes are only a couple weeks away.

LOL....Can you imagine being a Mets fan right about now.    They were the darling of the media the entire year basically, they were the Mets team to not only dethrone Atlanta, but win a ring.

I'll be honest, didn't think they were going to win just a week or two ago.

The brightside for them is the fact that they should be very used to this exact thing!

I live in Mets Fan country, so I can wear my Atlanta gear and silently remind the Mets fans around me who the NL East belongs to. It’s always been ATL!

Buck has bad karma for every team he has managed.
