Either way is fine with me as long as I'm fishing - and I never worry about giving spots or techniques away - I've fished for years, some of them in tournaments and some of them as a guide always shared techniques and locations and have never seen that to have any effect on my success or lack thereof.

I am cool with fishing alone... More relaxing and can concentrate better...

I'm more than happy to do either. I'm just happy to be on the water!

Alone . Saturday I went fishing with my sister in law . She had a junk baitcaster that broke after ten minutes . I dont get to fish often enough now days and when I do go I dont want to babysit . ,  

like fishing with or without someone…………………..just love fishing,being outside that's what it's all about.

I fish alone the majority of the time.

I usually try to take my kids a couple of times per week after baseball season is over though.

I fish alone more often than I fish with a buddy, but that's mainly because my buddy doesn't like to get up at 5:30 am haha

That being said, I definitely like fishing with a buddy more. Sharing the experience with other people is always enjoyable!!

I showed this post to my wife and she's still laughing.  The idea that my princess bride would touch a fish that hasn't been cooked is a hoot and a half.   I do admire you though brother.  It's great to have that kind of bond with the mrs.

 

It really doesn't matter but, I do enjoy my time alone, none of my girls like to get up early so when we camp at the lake I am always on my first spot by dawn, I get to fish until about 10 when I have to head in and fix brunch ( breakfast for lunch ) those few hours are blissful, I can't deny that, when one can hear the air being split by the whip of the rod and the reel whining as the line is being spoiled off before anyone else is on the water, it's one gripping moment that makes you want it even more, its also one of reflection.

I prefer to share the experience with my dad or a friend, but there's nothing like being the only one on a lake in my kayak on a nice day. 

Both have their advantages. I do a lot of fishing alone though, and kinda wish I had company more often.

Rarely ever get to fish alone.  I would catch heck from my grandson if I went fishing without him.

Enjoy it while you can.My grandkids used to love fishing.Now I have to bribe them to get them to go.

I like fishing with someone, good company is always a plus.

I only like fishing with people who enjoy it as much as i do... And that list is short!

I can fish alone or with others. The older I get the conversation and merely being on thew water Is a great thing. That being said I'll share this; I fished with a friend on mine for years and at the start It was a blast. As the years passed it became Increasingly difficult to fish with him. 3-4 years ago I finally had enough and now fish alone the biggest majority of the time. I have learned to appreciate the solace, take In the beauty of being on the water, me, my thoughts, a few fish, and the keen awareness that I'm In a position to do what I love. The one person that's always welcome and encouraged to come fish Is my wife. She doesn't care what we're catching as long as she's catching fish. This woman agreed to fish on our honeymoon a couple of years ago! It was my single best day on the water as she caught her personal best largemouth three different times that day, how cool Is that?!

The point of the above story Is this; Have FUN! What's the point If you're not enjoying the time on the water? If that means you fish alone do that, If It means taking someone, do that.  If you find a balance or preference, you more than likely will have a great trip, year, and life!

If I'm pond hopping or doing some type of fishing that I know I'll get bit, then I absolutely prefer a partner. If I'm trying out a new technique or going to a new body of water I prefer fishing alone so I can focus on trying to figure out the bass.

I prefer to fish alone, but will enjoy fishing with the right friend once in a while too.

Ive always been a lone fisherman, bringing people always annoyed me. I recently started fishing with one of my employees. He had never fished before, he is now addicted to fishing and is learning so fast. He really listens to what i tell him and fishes just like i teach him. I dont mind fishing with him.

My favorite is fishing with my buddy who I grew up fishing with. We always agree on where/how to fish and it's nice being able to try out two baits at the same time to narrow down what's working. I know if he isn't catching them on a senko there's no point in me throwing one. I'ts almost like fishing with two of me on the boat, and that's something I miss when I fish with other people who have different ideas about location and such. Fishing alone on a boat gets lonely for me, but I do bank fish alone fairly often. 

I usually either fish with my wife or by myself. I occasionally fish with a buddy but I feel too much like a guide when I bring people out on my boat. I feel responsible for them catching fish. 

I don't have a singe friend who is really interesting in fishing, so most of the time I am alone.  However, I do have a buddy who is very into birding, so we go out hiking together all the time.  Between me stopping at every likely looking spot and him sneaking off after some very exciting duck noise, we usually only manage a mile or three in an 7-8 hour day. 

I have a standing offer to all my friends to come with me, I have so much gear from my early "must buy three of everything" phase that I could give away enough to get someone started without even missing it. 

i definitely don't mind fishing with friends i'm trying to get some friends into fishing so i try to teach a bit. most of the time i am alone though since i mainly bank fish or fish at a family cottage
