I lost a part of me today.

My dog Gizmo passed away today, we had to put him to sleep. For the last 14 years he has been the closest thing to a brother I've ever had, I lost a part of me today.

This was me holding him while I was four and my sister was one. I'm almost nineteen now, he has been in my life as long as I can remember.

I know how you feel. Been there too, sadly.

Sorry for your loss.

You'll remember him your whole life. I still
think of my first dog, Luke.

My condolences to you.  I still think about my first dog Bocephus. I held his head and loved him while the vet did her thing. I've never cried so hard in my life.

So sorry for your loss. They are part of the family and it is never an easy thing. Cherish the memories forever.

Very Sorry to hear about Gizmo ~

Although their time with us is brief, it's always special.

A-Jay

My forever friend

I know that it must be different,
now that I am no longer there.
I realize how much I was loved
and how all of you did care.

I know it will be hard at first
when you look around for me.
Expecting to find me in my bed
or beside my favorite tree.

Someday you will begin to see
although it’ll take some time,
the happy times you shared with me,
the memories are yours and mine.

I’ll remember you, my friends,
and how much you meant to me.
So please don’t grieve and don’t be sad,
it was just my time to leave.

Sorry for your loss brother. I've been there quite a few times.

Sorry to hear that, I had to put my hunting dog down a couple years ago and it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do.  You never know how much they truly mean to you until they are gone.

Sorry for your loss. It is always tough to lose your best canine friend.

I feel ya man... Just lost my hunting dog last month, but she was only 4 years old... Shot by a neighbor for chasing his chickens

I dont know if i was more sad or mad.. Either way, nothing i could do (legally)

She just became a grandma 2 weeks prior to the incident... So i got my pick of the litter...... Puppies have a way of making a guy feel better!

Sorry for your loss buddy.  It's tough, but like all losses, it gets easier.  My first dog died in my arms on my parents kitchen floor last March.  I have 2 other dogs now, but I frequently think about Riley and his goofy antics.

Sorry for your loss man. That's gotta hurt.

Sorry to hear about your loss. One if the toughest things to have to go through. You will always have the good memories.

Sorry for your loss - I know that pain.  I remember my mom having to put down our Akita, Kamiko, and it still sucks to think about.  Hang in there.

Sorry for you loss.

I also think of my great dane I grew up with, pippy. Clumsy as hell but sweet as can be. We had a lot of fun times.

Really sorry to hear about your loss. I can't stand the thought of losing my Pom,even though I know that days is coming. My wife says if I had had a dog before I met her I would have never married. And she's probably right.

Take care

So sorry for your loss..

If my neighbor did that, I would be sooooo mad.  we would have a bit of a heated "talk", plus I would be pretty dedicated to making his life miserable.  And I would be having some fried chicken.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I think the most I have ever cried in my entire life (65) is when my 12 yo Golden died. I don't think I will ever get over it.

Man that's rough.  "Pets" are more like family. Loosing them hurts just as bad sometimes.

We're here for ya.
