Absolutely, honestly should have tied it on while I was out but just threw it in a bucket. I’ll try it out next weekend and give you some input. If it swims well, I think the spotted bass here will eat it up!

It resembles a baby bull shad and I like the look of the H20 better than the catch co version. But I have no idea how either of them swim.

  • This was probably a nice spinnerbait back in its day, but I can guarantee the owner never caught a fish on it ?

  • Found 2 rods on shore this year at the creek. Seemed odd. I fished later than normal hoping the owner would come back, guarding the rods from would be thiefs. When nobody came for them I took them hom

I've looked at these as an intro to segmented hard swim baits. If you throw it will you report back on how it does?

If you get one, get the larger size, but honestly I'd pass on them altogether. Same goes for the Catch Co Baby Bull Shad. If you get one of the cheaper baits, get the Catch Co Baby gill or crappie.

Funny enough - I have one of each of these...we'll see how they do on Tonka this year.

Same, haven't fished the crappie much but the shad is pretty disappointing. I really like the regular bull shads so I had pretty high hopes for that bait.

Which would really be more practical since I'm a bank bound pond angler 95% of the time. So I'm not in waters with many shad, if any, so a gill would be matching the hatch better.

Today was a pretty good day. Aside from catching another DD, I managed to find a Rapala X-Rap XR10 with the body in great shape once I scrubbed the slime off. Hooks completely rusted off and split rings went right in the trash, but not a bad ten dollar find.

I don’t keep found lures…bad juju.  I don’t want them giving my other lures any ideas.

Some of my favorite lures have been baits I've found.

Yep. Years ago I found a xrap at the river. Tied it on thinking maybe whoever lost it knew something I didn't. Fallible logic but still.... I tore em up the rest of the day on that xrap 08

Had a couple hours before training this morning, was hoping to catch a few but the only ones I could get to play were really small. The baits I found kind of made up for it.

Found a brown trout floundering on the surface of Congamond during a tourney in 2020?

netted her and unbuttoned a brand new vision 110 in GG Pro Perch from across her face

she lived to swim another day and I was rewarded for my good deed

Found ANOTHER H20 xpress - can’t get away from them but not complaining! The plopper was a solid bonus too, was wanting another in that size for spotted bass and guess it was meant to be

If I'm going to find a house brand bait, I'd prefer it be H2O baits.

But the ones way up in the trees taunt me. I know of at least 3 that I can't reach that have been there for a long time. One of them is a whopper plopper, and I can do without another one of those, but the other two are so high up that I can't tell what they are. Of course my imagination tells me they are expensive jerk baits, but for all I know they are that cheap knockoff Walmart brand.

If I went around and collected all the bobbers hanging in trees on the lake, I could decorate my xmas tree with them.

One year I got so many bobbers I had 3 gallon size ziploc bags. Most were damage in some sort of way. Lol ?

I pick up bobbers and donate them to kids fishing derbies.

I donate them too. It’s crazy how many you see in the weeds, Moss, or on a branch in and out of water.

How would you go about finding local kid's fishing derbies? There used to be an annual event at the lake I fish, but that was pre-covid, and they don't seem to be doing it anymore. I guess the Boy Scouts would be one option?

Your DNR office might have some info or maybe local sporting goods shops?

Check with your local library.  They have a loaner program here where you can borrow a rod and reel to fish local waters for the day.

Our department puts on a couple fishing derbies. The local fishery biologist here helps organize some and accepts donations also.

Yeah, I guess if they're only going to make one crankbait, it ought to be a good one. Now I want some other colors.

Luhr Jensen has made several good baits.
