I have no mother freaking idea how I made it back to the top 5 because today was a nightmare. Hartman made it and that's it. This is one of those events I didn't go with my gut picks but chose to go with my heavily researched picks and that didn't go so well. I wanted to replace Hartman with wheeler on the final day but chose to leave the roster alone, and I also really wanted to pick Feider. Hindsight is 20/20 lol.

Looks like we are actually tied at 5th, at 9016. My actual scores have been all over the place but my ranking has stayed pretty consistent since the beginning, between about 5th and 10th in our group, and 90-95% overall.  I seem to be hanging in there but can't really "get on a pattern", as it were.

My gut said Martens in B and Skeet in C, for some reason. I swapped them out the last day for Lefebre and JVD. Oops again. I have done this sort of thing on at least 4 other events this year and it has almost always been the wrong decision. I keep doing it because I don't believe in gut feelings, lol.

Points wise, Tharp was the choice - one of the few times a Bucket A choice will give you some distance on the rest of the field.  I think the other difference maker will turn out to be Mueller in buck

If you look at the way that points are awarded in Fantasy Fishing rules, you are awarded the same number of points no matter how many other people have picked a particular angler. HOWEVER, (my pers

Yeah, I really thought I had keyed into something this season, doing  a lot of research on Bassrankings . com and searching out previous results. Some events it's really payed off for me. This time I should have gone with AOY contenders. My picks for Bucket A were Hartman, Wheeler, and Palaniuk but I decided to go with Hartman because of previous experience.

When Hartman shows up on Sunday with a 24 lb bag featuring a 8lb kicker, both you & I will feel like genius's for choosing him over Palanuik & Wheeler... :)

i have Fieder and Palaniuk 2 and 3 right now.

I heard Zona say that Friday and was left scratching my head. I haven't heard anymore but I have to believe it's not what we're thinking.

How about Martens with 23lb & a 6-2?  Glad I had him as well... :)

They showed the reveal photo today. He looks....different. Apparently it's always been a dream of his to get a facelift. Totally bizarre to me ?

Wow, what a day from A Mart!!!  From 19th to 1st!

I just realized, I guessed the winning weight exactly!

Martens final day heroics added over 100 points for the owners who had him and it would have been 40 points more if Seth Fieder hadn't snapped him off for Big bass at the end.  Chris Zaldain had a 49 point move up, but there weren't any major downfalls for the anglers that our top owners had.

Alk402 rode Amart to once again extend his lead while I did the same to jump back over Gundog into second. Gundog slipped to 3rd while NorCal held 4th, both about 80 points away from anyone either ahead or behind them.  Jorgaba claimed 5th alone, but has 4 other players within 15 points chasing him for a top five position.

Congrats to all, good luck next month!!

I really sucked...  And the worst part is that I had an awesome team on Wednesday night, but changed my team on Thursday after rethinking my picks when the firstbdau was cancelled

Here's what I had on Wednesday night:  Brandon palinuik (3)

Aaron martens (1), Stephen Kennedy (17), justin Lucas (25),  Jesse Tacoronte (68)

Thursday nights team:  kvd (69), Dave lefebre (86), skeet Reese (53), Justin Lucas (25), and Jesse Tacoronte (86).  I think my original picks were better lol.

Had to edit it cause when i posted it, the columns got jumbled.

No lie. Tommy Sanders was the last person in the world I would expect to want to get a facelift.

I'd never expect it either. To each their own I guess. It'll be interesting to see what he looks like afterwards.

I would like to point out that, due to an impressive tournament this week on his part, @buzzed bait and I are 7th and 9th in the group, respectively. In case y'all had forgotten, there's always bragging rights on the line but we upped the ante a little bit this year and the loser will be shipping the winner a box of siebert jigs. We're neck to neck for the final tourney.

When you look at the leader boards, they show 11 events, so it appears they will include the AOY championship.  That will give you 2 more events, not just one.

Of course, you have just been toying with him all along... :)

He didn't really get a facelift. They were just goofing around because he wasn't there.

The joke's on me lmao. Between work and church I didn't get to catch much of Live but both times I tuned in they were talking about it. They must have had a lot of fun with it and I bet Tommy hates them. They sure got me good ?

LOL. I was still scratching my head wondering what he was thinking. I can rest easy now knowing Tommy Sanders won't look like his face is frozen stiff.

Martens ruins it for me lol. Should have had a 1-2 finish with the 40 point kicker!

+1

Pipkins and Hartman were my only Sunday guys.

My lineup is already set for St Clair.  I went back to my dartboard method.
