Points wise, Tharp was the choice - one of the few times a Bucket A choice will give you some distance on the rest of the field.  I think the other difference maker will turn out to be Mueller in buck

If you look at the way that points are awarded in Fantasy Fishing rules, you are awarded the same number of points no matter how many other people have picked a particular angler. HOWEVER, (my pers

My guesses were Hartman, Lefebre, Avena (gambling on this pic), J. Lucas, and Omori. Not sure how the 1st day cancelation is going to affect the final day scoring.

Almost went with Omori

I started with Jones Sr and Blaylock on my roster. Heard both had good tournaments a few years back on Champlain.

And the tie breaker IF it were to come into play.

Now I know my winning weight guess is going to be way off.

Edit - Just checked the website. They re-opened the rosters. You can still edit your picks for the next 18 hours.

Showed my cards to early haha.

I don't mind that they had to cancel today but I wish they would fish on Monday so it would still be a 4 day event.

It sounds simple, but there's more than just pushing everything back a day involved. Permits with the local DNR, manpower, insurance, etc. all have to be in line in order to allow fishing an extra day.

Here's what I'm thinking about the cancellation - it's going to hurt the smallmouth guys and help the largemouth guys. Having a clear day tomorrow to run to Ticonderoga will be crucial. Also, the anglers weren't sure if there were enough largemouth up there for 4 days of catching. Now they only have to worry about three days and can hit the fish a little harder instead of saving them.

I totally knew that -I gave out all my fake picks so that  they would be copied and then I could reveal the real winning team once the tourney starts.

Yeah, I don't like that as now people that are leading groups know who other people picked for their rosters and can choose new anglers accordingly so they can maintain their leads.

My tie breaking weight is 66 lbs  6 ounces . I dont care if you copy it . LOL

Yeah, for sure. There's a Northern Open that starts next week also. I'm sure an extra day is a logistical nightmare, although they have done it before.

Having the rosters open another day has not been good on my nerves...I keep second guessing every pick. Haven't switched anyone out yet, but I might do it last second.

Just changed it to 58-9. I don't think this, at the end, is gonna be a high scoring tourney.

It sounds like skeet Reese is going to be targeting smallies and not running down south to tootancandra, and stated that he is not fishing to win but is fishing for a top 25.  Just wanted to let you know in case it would affect your pick.

Saw that. Works for me lol. I wanted a balance of guys who would fish more conservatively with guys who would make the run so I could have both sides covered.

Off to a slow start according to Basstrakk. Plenty of time left in the day though.

And come Sunday afternoon I'll be kicking myself for not pulling the trigger on the top finisher in each bucket. ?

I was so close to picking Martens, and he's having an awesome event so far.

On the plus side, my D bucket pick (Pipkens) has 17 pounds today.

  • Super User

I'm really hoping BassTrakk is off today haha

Todd Faircloth had 0-0 all day on BassTrak, and he went and weighed in over 21 pounds.
