Day 2 was moving day for most of the California anglers.  Ish, Reese & Lucas all went backwards substantially while Zaldain made a huge jump forward.  There have been a lot of tournaments this year with big swings up & down by many anglers.

 

I was worried about D & E and felt good about A, B & C.  So of course, my B & C miss the cut while my D is looking at a top 12 and E is outperforming the high percentage choices.

Another great day for me, with four guys making the cut. I'm at the beach and only have my phone, so I can't check what percentile I'm at but I know I'm doing really good.

I just checked, you're at 91.7%, and 7th in our group.  We have similar teams, except you have ike instead of herren and I have kvd instead of Greg hackney.

I originally stayed with the same team as last tourney with one exception .  Four of them are in the top 16 Oops .

Out of all my guys, I thought for sure that Hackney and Ish would get a top 12 in this one. Hackney came really close but Ish surprisingly dropped on day two. Iaconelli ended up being my only angler fishing tomorrow, but my other three did great today as well. Very happy with my finish and hoping Ike can continue to do big things tomorrow. 

Only got 1 guy in the top 12. Go Kennedy.

Got the Cliffs both in top 12.

 

Lefbre and Lowen of all people bombed.

 

Gonna have to go with my flw strategy of picking the best guys I can get.  Lefebre is having a good year and is a solid angler but my bucket A has to get more than 110 points.

the only way i could have done worse would be to have picked no anglers at all!!!!

I keep ziigging when I should be zagging . I had Kennedy for three straight tourneys and  had him picked for this one then switched him for Klein . I had Ike then switched him out for Combs . Switched Reese for Rook . Then kept Shaw Grigsby for the third straight tourney in which he hasnt made a cut  . I wont pick Grigsby next time so he should finish in the top 12.

I'm doing ok this event. Christie surprised me with a dud performance. Going into today, here's where my guys ranked.

 

A. Christie - 72

B. Swindle - 31

C. Martens - 57

D. Menendez - 9

E. Clunn - 18

 

Buckets D and E coming on strong this event. 

It looks like I choose the wrong tournament to jump on the Crochet band wagon.  I catch more fish on my lunch break than he did this week.

I suck ? no points for me today unless there's sympathy points awarded. I sucked so bad I'd probably miss out on sympathy points! ?

I've moved from the 85.0% to the 89.3% already. If Menendez could jump up and finish ahead of Ike this event, that would probably put me up over 90%.

i went from 92.5% to 87%.  was as high as 97.5% after toledo bend

Ditto and I'm not just saying that cause I picked him. I think he's the first guy I picked that finished first. 

I'm glad to see Steve win. I was watching whenever he hooked that 5-10 at the end of the day. If you listen to the replay, listen to him scream in excitement like a little girl whenever he hooked the fish and saw the size of it. You can't help but feel happy for the guy. 

 

In other news, I'm up to the 89.7% now. I was at 85.0% before this event. Menendez finishing 4th and Clunn in 18th really helped me because they were a low percentage pick, even with Christie finishing 72nd and Martens in 57th. 

Have you guys ever had a team in mind, and then you went and found out they were all in A and B? And then you were like what the heck will I do with C, D, and E?

 

Well, I went on fantasy last night and literally picked the team I had in mind in about 5 seconds. The northern guys are spread around like crazy right now and I'm digging it.

 

I've got the closest thing to a dream team I've ever found. "dream teams" are usually the ones that fail miserably; but we shall see.

Watch us have the same team ?  Yeah I'm not paying a whole lot of attention to percentages this time. I didn't go KVD in bucket A, though.

i don't have KVD either.  if we did have the same team, at least you wouldn't crush me like you did on the last one!!!  i still plan on winning our little side bet though, no doubt about it!
