Why would they even have a party for it? I mean the event will only last a couple minutes or so and people always show up late for parties...lol!

I usually wait for the pictures to show up on the interwebz the day after these things.

Though I did take a funny pic of the last lunar eclipse:

LMBO! ???????

People look for a reason to party===any reason

My family in Oregon claims the government expects a million people influx to the Portland  area just for the eclipse.

Hey if I can drink for a reason...why not? It beats just being drunk on a Monday.

The state of Oregon is quickly trying to pass a bill that will tax non residents who wish to observe the eclipse.  I think they want to declare the entire state a park for the day.  I plan to celebrate by watching Apocalypto on cable.

If the government can find a way to separate people from their money you know they will do it.

I would love to go there and argue that I was just passing thru, not there to observe the eclipse.  If they insisted on charging me, I believe they would be in violation of the interstate commerce act.  One call to Larry H. Parker & he would get me millions for my suffering.

On the other hand, I have got better things to do...

Tongue and cheek boys, tongue and cheek.  As a former Oregon resident I am aware of the lunacy the state will apply to gain revenue.

There's quite a few states that ooze lunacy these days, but this is a bass fishing site and I won't go there...lol. ?

Just one more day away. Sounds like lots of folks coming through Nebraska to view it from out of town.

I was thinking of leaving PA to travel to FL to view the eclipse but then remembered we have the sun here too. Just for less months than FL.

supposed to be a full eclipse 50 miles north of Kansas city. sounds Like St Joseph Missouri is in the heart of the eclipse path.

they are predicting traffic between KC and St Jo will be backed up for hours with people trying to be a part of it.

My local lake is on the edge of the eclipse path, supposed to be at 87% eclipse.

think I will go fishing and settle for 87%.

Oops. Is this a Sun event or a Moon event?

Have fun!

As a big CCR fan I can assure you that Mr. Fogarty isn't saying "there's a bad moon on the rise" he's saying "there's a bathroom on the right"  ???
