LOL ~

I'm trying to make room for my week in Mexico next month.

Not much dieting going on there as all bets are off.

My abs look remarkably similar, but strangely they wanted some winter insulation about 15 years ago and I haven't seen them since.

I'll be in that good of shape when Colonel Sanders starts selling free weights.   Way to go AJay.

  • You are a great example for us all Ajay. "The longer we wait the harder it gets.  The first step is the hardest." I agree with you 100%   My son says he has abs and you Dad have flabs.

Not every training session is a record breaker.

But at this point, seems they rarely need to be.

My workouts revolve around the ability to recover from them.

The basics have been good for me.

Heredity may play a roll here.

I workout 30 minutes every morning " strength training " , 13 - 15 reps and can't achieve that level of definition.

Heavy weight, low reps to failure is not my cup of tea.

Keep it up ?

To be clear, I'm about 5-7 ish and 155 soaking wet.

This resistance training and my rather clean diet go hand in hand.

My wife says I eat like a bird but I do it at least 5 times a day.

(including in the middle of the night)

Took me a LONG time to figure out the weights play far less of role when it comes to staying 'lean'.

I say keep working my friend, it's still the best course of action at this point.

Training later in the afternoon is tough for me.

Spinning up the effort & intensity can be a bear.

Either way, Super happy I got it done.

I was mostly bald a while a go.

I can't see or hear like I used to.

My back aches all the time.

My elbows & knees make all types of crackling sounds and I can't remember chit.

Other than that, I'm in some of the best shape of my life.

Almost completely back into the swing of things. Since I still look a bit lockdown soft, this will be the first winter that I do cardio all they way through to summer since I started working out seriously about 11-12 years ago. No way I’m going up to close to 250 again. Too old for that now. The worst thing about lockdown was that I would make everyone in my family run a mile at least 3x per week. My 13 y/o son would run his first half mile at a 5 minute or better pace (then walk the rest and still finish in under 10 minutes). That got me down to anywhere from 7 to 8 minutes for the mile. Now, I can’t run my usual 10 minutes at 6.0 MPH on the treadmill at the start of each session, because it’s too slow. Not the progress I was looking for. Did nothing to reduce my softness. Except in my legs. Hopefully the next 6 months of cardio every session will get my BF% down to where it should be.

Good chance your diet is causing your excess body fat.

Reducing your calorie intake is the only way you'll ever see results regardless of how much cardio you do. Several small meals a day works.  Hope plays no role.  If you are not hungry 24 hours a day, you're eating too much.
