Mainly just the weather. It's been fairly cold but is warming pretty quickly and will throughout the tournament. Based on what they're saying fish are wanting to move and aren't really grouped up anywhere. There are fish deep and shallow but it's pretty scattered.

For fantasy purposes, what I really want to know is whether by saying that, Ott was actually saying "i'm confused"...

 

If the bass are confused, Ott is a pretty good pick. If Ott is confused, not so much

 

I posted my team right after martin, a month ago. I have now changed 4 of the 5 slots, some of them multiple times. I think I'm set, but I'm gonna have to think about it before going to bed tonight.

Fun fact: I’ve done a lot of stalking and looking at past tournament results over the last two years of this. I’ve never seen a non-elite resume as stacked as Marty Giddens. He has a phenomenal record all across the country. 

 

Another fun fact: I’ve been keeping an eye on Bobby Lane’s classic record for the last few years. There was no way I wouldn’t have him on my team this year. Look up his stats in the classic.

I got Ashley, Defoe, Howell, Cherry and hometown hero Sypeck. 

River rats wiggins and defoe had zeros.  Wiggins suddenly with 5.  Suggests he was out of cell range up a river....likely why Defoe shows zero.

i was looking at basstrak and i am kinda wondering how Ott, Casey and Skeet got stuck at the tail end here....

i know Ashley had a time loss penalty for being late but Hmmmm...

Losing 40 minutes of the blueback herring bite may have sunk Ashley's hope for a repeat

If they had one fish then I would be worried . At zero fish ,like Montanaro said , there is a good chance they are out of cel phone reach . I have Defoe and   my fingers crossed hoping  that is the case .

 

As I was typing this DeFoe just checked in with one but its a three and a half lber .

Defoe registered with a couple 3 pounders.  Looks like he was going for the big bite in morning.  Didnt quite work out.  Hope he has a solid backup pattern
