New Sufix Advanced Co-Polymer Mono

Featured Replies

I put 14lb through its paces last summer on the river. I like it, in some ways hard to quantify but I dont love it. I experienced no breakages,or issues..Its got some sensitivity to it...on par or slightly better than yozuri hybrid perhaps.....But the line just seemed to get a bit beat up to the point I felt I needed to change it more frequently. I noticed a few new deformities here & there with minimal rubbing against structure.....It is cheap so respooling doesnt hurt the wallet.

For me sunline defier has lasted a full season of river fishing reaction baits on multiple reels and passed w/flying colors. Its expensive, but doesnt get beat up as quickly so perhaps it evens out.

  • Why can't a monofilament line be made from a copolymer?  The first means single filament, the second refers to the formulation of the single filament.  Not everything is marketing.  Sometimes companie

  • Copolymer mono...looks like someone in marketing was playing with us...like stereophonic mono?

i think i may give this stuff a shot on my casting reels. ive been using invisx and im happy with it but i always wonder if im being fooled paying 24 bucks for a spool of line. i just wanna see if its got good sensitivity and if i feel like it stretches on hook sets. any particular knot you guys like? i usually tie a san diego jam.

With the exception of when there's a very specific need for flouro, I use it on about everything. Little bit more dense than mono. Like other posters have mentioned, the line is oversized for its rating.

Advance Mono 10lb is 0.30, compared to tatsu 12 at .285 or 15 at .330. A little smaller than Big Game, at the same rating.

It is actually lower stretch than mono or flouro (flouro isn't low stretch, that's straight BS).

A tip/warning - improved uni is really strong on this, SDJ breaks at half the line strength.

That's the same experience I had with it. I do like the low stretch but after a couple weeks of fishing it seems like I've used it an entire season. I just went back to McCoy Extra Clear as it seems I always do. YMMV, Brian.

I bought mine from a small online shop in Tennessee I think. I was doing some deep digging looking for an apparently discontinued color of Provoke 106 and needed 1 more thing to get free shipping. They had plenty in stock.

It’s my go to mono line choice. Love it in 14lb & 17lb for trophy bass fishing.
