Is rain gear for the spring and summer the same as what one would wear during the winter??? 

For me, yes. I only use them as an outer layer and dress for the weather(temperature) under them.

Maybe, depending on where you live. No way I could wear my ice fishing bibs and coat in august. I have another set that has removable liners. They keep me warm enough if its 40 degrees or so. With the liners out, they are comfortable in the summer.

My rain gear is the same set regardless of temp.  I layer underneath as needed.

 

For winter I wear 100 mph suit. Frabill lightweight jacket/bib suit for the rest of the year.

It isn't for me. Summer can be 100+ degrees, winter can be single digits. I have a 100mph suit I wear in the cold, and a Frabill F3 suit for warmer weather. If it's really going to be raining in the winter though, I'll go with the Frabill suit and layer up because it's WAY better at keeping me dry than the 100mph suit. 

South Ga, yeah. Regular pair of outer frog toggs works all year! 

Winter is for warmer gear for me and have found guide wear to be very good.  Summer is usually shorts, sandals and a light rain jacket....I don't feel like I get cooked as much when not wearing bottoms.

Same as mostly everyone else. I have a lighter rain suit but if it’s cold just layer underneath. We usually can’t start fishing till April or May bc of ice cover anyways and it’s ususlly in the 50s by that time.  

If it's raining, and it's under 60F, there's zero chance I go fishing. So I only have one set of toggs for spring/summer/early fall. 

 

 

Some brands of rain suits offer both uninsulated and insulated options (such as Cabela's Guidewear).  I only have a set of uninsulated and I layer underneath it as necessary so I can use it when its raining in the heat of summer too.  My Father has two sets: insulated and uninsulated.  I can't afford to do that plus I don't do a lot of cold weather fishing anyways.

H2O Express rain suit for cold weather and Frogg Toggs for the hot weather.

I'd never wear my Guidewear in warm weather.  It does rain in May, June, July, August, early September from time to time and that is what my Frog Toggs are for.
