As there wasn’t the option for you to choose the retrieve and gear ratio when you placed the order, We emailed you several days before without receiving your reply.

So please REPLY to our email which one would you like, we will mark on your order and ship the correct one to you in future. 

Below is the option for you:

 

Option A: Right handed--10.5:1 Gear Ratio

Option B: Left handed--10.5:1 Gear Ratio

Option C: Right handed--8.6:1 Gear Ratio

Option D: Left handed--8.6:1 Gear Ratio

(Right handed reels means you reel in with your right hand and hold the rod with your left hand;

Left handed reels means you reel in with your left hand and hold the rod with your right hand)

 

By the way, We’ve been hard at work running through every level of the manufacturing process to make sure everything is in order. Recently the first sample was finished and we are in the testing stage now. We don't want to let you down with any production delays. The expected shipping time is still the end of March, 2020. We will keep you posted on the most recent news as it becomes available.

I wonder if the shutdown in China will delay these orders. Just a thought I’m not really sure where they are made.

Field test completed and batch production started!   Dear KastKing Fans, We appreciate your patience while waiting for our KastKing Speed Demon Elite baitcasting reels. Our whole team has been working hard on the new breakthrough baitcaster reels. Here’s the latest update for you.   We’ve completed all the field test in February. Two of our Top Anglers, MLF Pros Brent Chapman and Cliff Crochet, used the reels for quite a while. They’ve given our engineering team some feedback and we’ve made a couple of small adjustments. As of now, we are confident to say the approved final reels are ready to go into production!   However, there is some bad news. As you are aware, the deadly Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) is breaking out all over the world now, which has had a huge impact on the global supply chain. Some of our suppliers in China and Asia cannot deliver some parts and components on schedule due to the severe epidemic. Furthermore, the logistic companies, such as Fedex and UPS, are being affected a lot as well. Many flights are cancelled, and shipment delays occur. Although we are working around the clock trying to limit the impact, the situation is really out of our control. Now, with diligent communication, we worked out some solutions with our suppliers. We will finish the production for right-handed reels by the end of the end of April, which will be one month later than our original plan. We are sorry about what happened. Anyone have any time on the water with these?  I made 5 casts and realized it isn't what I want or need.  It seemed smooth enough but I can't think of an application where I need this kind of speed.  Plus, I have never used a reel with only centrifugal brakes.

Used mine a fair amount and it was doing well fishing a buzzbait but the thumb bar started to not reengage after the cast and I had to manually push it up to get the spool to reengage about every 3rd or 4th cast. They don't have any of them to exchange it so either exchanging for a red RLE or a refund.

A friend of mine had the same issue, found the springs under the thumb bar were crushed.
