  • This pic is actually from the first morning of the storm.    It's Lynn's crew on the way out the inlet in Scituate, MA. These surf boats, although no longer in service, were self-right

  • If we had that weather, there would be no milk available in the entire state

16 here, got about 3” of snow, and the windchill is hovering around 0. Tonight and tomorrow night we might see below zero temps, back up to average and above average temps by next week.

We got a few inches as well.

And it's pretty cold but the sun's out.

I'm still hiding in the house.

However Lynn just headed out the door with Breezo for "A Run".

As she left she gave me the old . ."Are you sure you don't want to come ?"

My response was just 'the face' -

You know the one . . . .

No Polar Plunge for A-Jay? ?

I spend a good majority of my day outside even in the winter, so when the weekend comes around I want to stay inside. Of course at 9 years old Liam wants to be outside playing in the snow.

Nope ~ I'm definitely not a plunger . . .

I bet your son digs it . .

 And BreeZo's all about it . .

Ours likes the outside as well, but when it’s this cold out, even he enjoys the inside too. Although to be fair, he is only “part” husky. We call him a huskelunge ?

We have squeaky snow folks! I know, I know nothing for for some of you, but it’s the first time we’ve had it since probably November, early December. Initial temp reading when I started the truck to warm it up was 0, we’ll see what it is when I leave for work.

-31C here this morning, and with the wind chills they’ve cancelled the busses today.
I’m taking the kid to the spring fishing and boat show in Toronto today, at least we can walk around a warm building and look at fishing stuff and pretend like it’s not the  end of the world outside ?

Is there a trout pond there? Just kick the kids out and fish the pond. ?

When I was a kid I can remember always having lots of snow during the winter. These days we rarely ever get snow, maybe 1-2 decent snows a season. So far this year we've not had a single one.

Our forecast was for a rain snow mix and the snow would melt upon touchdown. We wake up this morning to 3 inches of super heavy wet snow and no school. It’s now 36* out so a lot of this will probably melt. Try again weather man!

Putting the batteries in the boat this weekend. Got a guy from Wisconsin coming to look at it next week. Fingers crossed he'll buy it so I can start boat shopping.
