What's on your fishing Christmas list?

Featured Replies

Time on the water to use the stuff I got last Christmas. Maybe, some time not so far in the future, the 19 Shimano Scorpion. Another trip to fish new water (hopefully in the next year or two) or if it has to be Disney World to see the new Star Wars park, a few casts while there.

Well since it is a "wish" list....I would wish for healing for all those on this site who need healing of some sort or for family members with the same need.  I would wish for tight lines and fishing

Picked up a Tatula CT. Haven't had time to fish. Full time single father and work. Kiddo visits her mom the day after Christmas until January 4th. Can't wait to get out again.

Well since it is a "wish" list....I would wish for healing for all those on this site who need healing of some sort or for family members with the same need.  I would wish for tight lines and fishing time for those single parents or for those who can't get around much maybe a drive from a friend to a lake.  I wish you all the desire's of your heart.

MERRY CHRISTMAS......May God Bless

Any you can throw in an 8-pounder, too.

Sam might as well think SEC big & throw in a 10-pounder, too.

Getting the stuff from Mudhole to build myself a 6'3" MXF and a Daiwa Tatula 100 6.3:1 to put on it.

Also getting some Frogg Toggs Pilot II rain gear.  I hope it's not terrible.

Save your money on those Frog Toggs they're no good, I had a set lasted a few months, can't take heat or being packed up cold as ice and really useless.  Get a better brand, anything not Frogg Toggs.

A  new rod, maybe a new fish bag, just a little bit warmer weather so I can go fishing without ice on my rod.  Water temps are in the low to mid 40's here brrrrrr.

I'm going to FL to fish a day in the Glades and a day in the S FL canals. That's my gift to myself. The family is going and they'll play while I play. I'm really hoping to give myself a new PB and catch some nice peacocks. Those would be icing.

Nothing.

I have way too much tackle, rods and reels now.

Did go overboard on grandkids fishing stuff but hey, you only live once and I want them to get into fishing.

It seems Santa bought a Tatula SV TW in a 7.1:1 gear ratio.

All I want is a selection of worm harnesses

Plano edge terminal box and a rearm kit for my Mustang HIT.

How come?

Doesn't seem to really do anything until it's too tight,  then if you loosen it it's like it's not there,  just my opinion

Assuming Santa were real:

- Wilderness Systems ATAK 120

- Bending Branches Carbon Pro paddle

(Preferably in a subtle color)

- Shimano Stradic FL 3000

- St Croix Legend Elite 7MF

- a Partridge in a Pear tree (obvs)

Sadly, Santa either isn't real.... or has a budget that's more suited to socks and coffee mugs ????

A guy can dream though....

Very glad to hear about your clear MRI! I had a heart attack on Christmas day, 2019, but now I feel great. Keep loving your family and keep catching those big fish. Richard

Wishing you the best as well. I had a heart attack on Christmas day, 2019, but I got a stent in a coronary artery and feel just great now. God has given me my healing! Now I can enjoy my family and spend more time fishing. Best to you.

Thank you sir! Very glad you’re enjoying good heath with your family in the new year, and some time on the water.

I ordered a Falcon Bucoo 6-10 Hvy flipping/pitching rod with a gift card from work. I was using a 7' MH Falcon Lowrider that was really meant to be a heavy cranking rod for this technique. I can't wait to get out and give it a try.

Nice. I use a Bucoo M/M for light duty cranking and I just adore it.
