DVT ?

Featured Replies

This might be dumb considering DVT is a sponsor but he is still doing business? I knew I would be helpless when trying to do my handle upgrade on my Shimano and a 5 minute job has turned into a miniature disaster with springs and little parts going here , there, and everywhere. I just need to send it to someone who can put it back together. Thanks guys.

Yes they are still in business.

He had a temporary shut-down over the holidays, but he's back up and running. Might send him a PM here to see what his schedule looks like.

Ive done plenty of business from custom rods to reel service/upgrade to buying jigs and spinnerbaits - never a problem. His communication and advice is second to none.

Mr Lawson at DVT is working his magic on these as we speak ~

I've used him many times. Great communication, easy procedure, great quality work.

We text pretty frequently.  I can't imagine he'd ever be hard to get in touch with.

The one time I PM'd a question to him about an old reel - he got back to me within a day.

Well, they're Quantums, so they need the work! :P

Ya...for an 'amateur', A-Jay's a little obsessive about rigs.

LOL ~

And they're all discontinued models - (you know Quantum)

So if they need parts, I might be kind of hosed.

This may be the last time the Q's make the trip to DVT.

I'm already doing the R&D for the replacements.

It's a daunting task.

Not really.  Just find the Daiwa or Shimano that fits your hand nice.  Have Mike drop Carbontex drags in them :)

I'd say 'Diawa or Pflueger', but that's just me.

They are a licenser, not a manu, so for my money, they're out.  Not saying they aren't great reels, just not for me.
