I don't have one currently I do have a double Colorado 3/8 oz chartreuse tied on currently but what is your most productive spinner bait during the summer

I mostly use spinnerbaits for night fishing during the hottest part of the summer. My favourite is a 3/8 oz, with a single large Colorado blade.

   I generally agree with this. The exception is drizzly or heavily overcast days, when I'll run a tandem chartreuse or chartreuse/white along the margins. I don't believe size is very important under those circumstances.

   Once that hot ol' sun comes out, though, the effectiveness of the spinnerbaits I have is greatly reduced.   jj

Sometimes, it's surprising how well a 1/4 oz Beetlespin can catch bass in the hot weather also. I use them when the fish won't hit a bigger skirted spinnerbait.

If I'm wading in the river I'll throw a white 1/8 oz single willow blade around rocks and lay downs. I best bass on that tiny spinnerbait has been about 7 lbs.

War eagle Screaming Eagle. In spot remover or sexy shad...whatever they call it?   it's a 1/2 but same size as a 1/4.   I throw it year round.  

I generally like the Booyah (standard) or War Eagle. This year I bought several of the Jason Christie Booyah spinnerbaits and love them. They've become my new favorite.

I use the Wahoo brand from Academy in various colors and blades and for chocolate milk or night time I have a Lunkerhunt Thump in black and blue with double Colorados. Found what I believe to be a KVD spinnerbait and haven't had any better luck on it than the $2-$3 Wahoo spinners.

I've been making my own spinner baits for over 40 years. For summer fishing I mostly use a 7/16 oz. spinner bait with a single #4 1/2 Hildebrandt gold Colorado blade. For a skirt I use green/chartreuse/white or blue/chartreuse/white and add a 4" twister tail grub in silk chartreuse color.

 

I've found these two combinations to be the most productive where I fish in south Louisiana during the summer time.

I make my own spinner baits, and have every combination imaginable.  I could easily get by with a black 1/2 oz single Colorado.

My go to on cloudy, sunny, calm, or windy weather.  Slow role on bottom, or waked just under the surface, deep or shallow, day or night.  I fish many other types, and have many different favorites for specific conditions, but most of the time if they wont hit my old standby, then most likely, I shouldn't be fishing a spinner bait.

I like  the Strike King Rocket Shads in current and deep water . The strike King Midnight Special at night .Been catching a few river bass on Beetle Spins lately .

I love spinnerbaits...with a passion..but they are primarily a spring and fall bait for me. In the summer when the bass are hot and a little more particular I lean on a swim jig more and more. For brands I throw a lot of the standards that a lot of guys throw...booyah, strike king and war eagle. Over the past few years my favorite by a landslide has been the Nichols metal flake blade spinnerbaits. They are a little spendier but the are durable, more compact for the weight and they come in some unique colors.
