Small frogs

Featured Replies

Lost my lunker hunter pocket frog recently. Wondering if there's anything else out there similar? I have some other frogs but they are just too big. Only thing I ever got bites on was the pocket frog.

Have you checked the live target 45T ? I just checked T/W The frog is 1 3/4 inches. They have 4 colors available now & have 9 more by the weekend

Look into Terminator’s 2.5 inch Frog. I’ve had success with it. There’s also the Pad Crasher Jr.

Jackall kaera is a compact frog. kinda pricey though.

My favorite frog by far.

I know SK sells a smaller version of the Poppin Perch called the pipsqueak. Its pretty small. I think they sell the walk the dog style Pad Perch in a pipsqueak size too.

All of my local Walmarts sell Booyah Pad Crasher Jrs. Very reasonable in price and look to be just a scaled down version of the Pad Crasher, which I have always done well with.

What are you guys throwing these ¼ ounce frogs on?

I throw mine on a Lews Custom Black 7'3" MH. It's pretty stiff for a MH. It's more like a MH+ or H-

walmart is my favorite place to shop for stuff cause its so much cheaper than bps. Walmarts shelves have been empty lately. ozark trail is making lures and rods etc now for very cheap. I grabbed a few of their frogs too.

Granted ive yet to throw the pipsqueak, when I do it will be on my 7' MH casting setup.

The Jr. size Spro Bronzeye (regular NOT the popping) has been fantastic for me. Bonus is that it weighs a 1/2 oz and can be used on my regular frog rod. The Booyah Pad Crasher Jr is too light for me...but it's the right size. The Jackall one is a flaming pile of crap. I had high hopes for it, as it was small, yet heavy enough to use on a MH or H rod. But it might be the most fragile frog I have every used. I bought two, and one was junk after catching three small fish, and the other caught one fish, and couldn't survive some hearty casting around docks and buck brush....color me unimpressed. On the other hand, I'm STILL using a Spro Bronzeye Jr that I took out of the package in May, and has caught tons of fish.
