Hey guys! Sorry I completely missed the last two calls. Took a little break from fishing, there was a lot going on at work, had a serious job offer from this games studio I was considering for a while - in Germany (you know, that famous bass fishing haven, Germany?). Ended up staying put, got promoted, and long story short I haven't seen freshwater anywhere other than from my taps since early November. Even managed to miss this years Black Friday sales.

 

But I'm back now! Hopefully in a couple of weeks I'll hit the creek and try to trick a cold slow winter bass into biting a jig or a drop shot 

 

Here's hoping I can get on the next call to catch up with all of you

It's getting to that time again as well! I haven't been able to get any free time this week because the kid's hockey schedule (basically every day), and I'm expecting it to change for next week so I'm just waiting for the schedule to get updated.

What I don’t understand, is you northern guy’s know winter is coming every year.  And every year is gonna be just as bad as the last, and you still complain.  It’s like eating breakfast burritos before fishing.  You know it’s gonna have the same results as last time...

It’s the definition of insanity, lol. At the very least, the breakfast burritos I make are good going down. 

A Sunday morning works for me.  But I gotta wonder, is having "the boss" attend these hindering participation?  Seems we don't get as big a turnout as I expect.  I gotta wonder if I'm dampening the party, like y'all have to behave or something. LOL

I can only speak for myself here, but having you attend the zoom calls has never had any negative effect that I am aware of.

 

IMHO, we just tend to be kind of mellow all on our own. I tend to be a little on the quiet side when topics don't directly relate to what I do, mostly because I can learn more than I can offer anything of substance because I simply don't know what I don't know. And, most of the participants are not from the same area and the lake I mostly fish is quite different from most other areas of the country.
