Maybe I’ve been in the equity trenches too long, but I can honestly say,

I've never purchased '1'  lottery ticket in my entire life (Honest Engine).

Lottery is for the mathematically challenged yet most people who play believe they are ahead monetarily, which is impossible.

 

If you have ever been in line in front of me at the liquor store buying lottery tickets while my beer is getting warm, I hate you.

The last time I bought a ticket I only missed the Grand Prize by six numbers!

LPT: Always join the lottery pool at work. You are not gambling, you are buying insurance. Insurance that you are not the only one still at work when the pool wins and everyone quits.

I bought 2 Powerball and 2 Mega Millions tickets and won $6. I spent $8.

 

But I bought a few more today. I mean, a BILLION dollars. COVID has made the last year crap for me. I’m hoping that yin - yang thing works out.

I'll be watching the 'Show you rides' thread carefully, and if someone from Michigan posts their new Basscat Jaguar, we'll know we have a half-billionaire in our midst.

I buy tickets when the jackpot gets this high. I have thrown away a lot more money on a lot worse things.
