Bean Boozled

Anybody played this game? My son heard about this at school, so the wife found it and we’ve gotten two different versions of it this week.

For those of you not familiar with it, Jelly Belly makes it and it’s torture! The first version we played there were something like 12 different flavors. The catch is there are only six different colors, so one is a good flavor and one is disgusting. Here are a couple examples, the brown Jelly Belly tastes like chocolate pudding or canned dog food. The orange one tastes like peach or barf! The barf actually tastes like barf. I’m not sure how they do it but ever nasty flavor tastes like it’s described. You take a spin and the color you land on you pick the color jellybean and hope for the best.

The wife picked the hot version up today and there’s no good flavors on this one they’re all extremely hot with the hottest being the Carolina Reaper.

Anyways I thought I’d share this fun little game my family enjoyed (I suppose) this week.

I haven't played it, but sounds like something my girls would love. Might also be something they wouldn't try to cheat at. LOL

It’s cheap entertainment at $5. My son is our only kid so the wife and I were suckered into playing. I’ll admit it was fun, but biting in to some of the wrong ones was the worst. ?

They used to sell those when the grandkids were younger. They got me good .Gave me one that tasted like old gym socks smell.

One was dirty dish water and it tasted like dirty grey water smells.

I wonder how much the taste testers get paid?

Not enough in my eyes.

My son had that once. Like you, we only have one kid so we got “included” in the fun. And you are correct, the testers don’t likely get paid enough for the bang up job they did ?

I played this game on an 8 hour car trip to Chicago.  The nasty jelly beans stank up the car, and made us sick to our stomachs.  I made my sister try them first, to see if they were gross or good, then I ate the good ones.

Surprisingly this one made it past my 2 kids...which sounds like it's a good thing...not sure I could have made it through some of the jelly beans described on here. I know my kids would have set me up to eat the nasty ones for sure. ?

Mike Rowe did a Dirty Jobs episode at Jelly Belly. I think his flavor was Dirty Boots or something similar.
