Every day carry knife...

Featured Replies

I carry a Kershaw Link every day. I don't carry expensive pocket knives apart from whatever the cost of the assisted-opening mechanism might be. They get too beat up with me.

I keep a Leatherman Wave with my fishing gear. I just might dive after it if ever I have to. That multi-tool's been with me for a long time.

  • I carry a folder for convenience. I don't care which brand it is or where it's made, as long as it says "Buck" and "Made in the U.S.A." on it.     ?                jj

I usually have this one, a Smith and Wesson lock blade my boss gave me for Christmas. I also have a mossy oak lock blade I wear sometimes, and I have a mossy oak sheath knife I only wear in the woods

I've tried three times and haven't found a Leatherman Super tools that floated yet.  All three that have gone over the side went to the bottom.  As said before though, I still keep one in all my vehicles and boats.  Handy tools to have around, just don't want one on my belt and too big for the pocket.

Yeah, them things don't float at all. This one stays in my backpack in the same pocket as my scale.

well this page is sorely needing a knife photo, so posting off topic, here's the neck knife I carry daily when fishing the salt.  It's titanium, carbide edge, and nips braid like a champ.

I still have two new ones in reserve.  When Leatherman first came out with the larger Super tool that was bigger than the standard Leatherman, back in the late 80's or so, I came across 12 of them for $150 and bought them.  Didn't ask any questions about where they came from to be so cheap, just scooped em up and never looked back, and they were the real deal, not some cheap counterfeit.

I also carry the Link, 2 actually. Blue and grey. Serrated and plain blade, what ever the mood strikes me at the time. I also want to get a Link in the Dark Earth color from BladeHQ. they have been out of stock since December?

I carry a Kershaw 3/4 Ton Lock blade.

Lately the only knife I carry everyday is my Kershaw Cinder attached to my keychain.

Speaking of knives. My daughter brought a pack of taco shells to me last night and asked me to open them. I took out my knife and opened them. She said, why do you always have a knife. I told her, in case someone needs me to open taco shells for them, if you would start carrying a knife you wouldn't have needed my help. She just gave me a strange look. Hopefully she didn't get suspended from the 5th grade today for having a knife on her. LOL

I know you're joking around.  It's no longer a suspension around here.  Most schools have a zero tolerance policy, with expulsion as the consequence.  I won't get too political, other than to say zero tolerance policies don't even begin to solve the problem they think they solving.

I'll save my breath for packaging these days requires a you carry a blade, and a SHARP one at that.  The packaging itself poses more harm than most weapons if you're not prepared to open one with the right tool. Thanks shoplifters for that. ?

packaging is ridiculous!!!

I ran out of paper one day in class and the kids told me that they needed some. I went to the cabinet and got a couple packs, I pulled my knife out and opened them. One of the kids exclaimed, YOU CAN"T HAVE A KNIFE IN SCHOOL. I said, I can, but you can't

I retired from maintenance in the local school system. The law says you can't have deadly weapons on school property. I always carried a knife and so did most of the other maintenance guys. It was nothing more than a tool to help us do our job. If the kitchen staff didn't have knives they couldn't have gotten the meals ready.

The clamshell that the baby proofing outlet covers I just opened came in is more deadly.
