Just curious, do you see that they are more successful than the locals fishing there?  
I recall when they had the Classic on the Ohio River in Louisville in the late Summer and the winning weight was not any better than what we could do but of course we knew the place like the back of our hands and it was really tough fishing.  Lowest Classic winning weight ever I believe.

Seems like someone always drops 20 lbs as long as it’s cold outside or spring time.  In the fall you can win a tournament with 8-9 lbs. I think the pros do a little better than the locals but just by a smidge. Those fall tournaments last year showed more of a real picture 

 

then you take a look at day 1 and Zaldain was fishing right next to gufstason and caught zero. Zaldain is one heck of a fisherman, that tells me it was not easy doing what the leader was doing

You can hear the anglers chatting with fans, one of them mentioned that so maybe it’s a possibility? I don’t know for sure. Hunter shryock is cutting up with a little kid that’s standing in his boat, it was pretty funny. I got to meet him in 2019 when they came, he’s a good guy! 

Hackney just said “I don’t guess they’ve got a coffee pot.......”

They are taking off now , gussy s early bite may be over already

Cox and card already have a big one, Cox fish choked a frittside all the way to its gills

Lots of nice largemouth being caught but gussy is just ridiculous on 18” smallmouth 

 

conventional wisdom here is smallmouth will get you beat because you have to release under 18”, but gussy is taking that conventional wisdom and chucking it into the river 

Ok gussy is having to release quite a few now. My buddy and his son are standing on the bank where he is fishing giving me updates

It’d sure be nice to see him on live for even a minute. Not sure what’s going on with their coverage this year, but it’s like it’s being run by kids. Haven’t seen him on there at all this morning, and he’s the dang leader!

They’ve showed him a few times. My buddy just sent me this pic, he (gussy) is in a wind tunnel. 2 keepers lots of 15-16” smallies he is releasing 

Maybe it’s only on the Fox one, cause he’s not been online at all that I’ve seen. 

Getting pretty windy now where Christie is Fishing. I took the videos from there yesterday

Ah. I’m watching live mix on phone and FS1 on tv. If gussy gets 5 keepers I believe it’s over 

 

 

Update: Gussy just got keeper #3. It’s also really hot outside, go figure 

 

oh my gosh @Way north bass guy, you need to somehow watch fox! Gussys third keeper he dropped twice and still landed it in whitecaps ! 

#4 in the box for gussy. Even that might be enough 

 

the lake dropped over a foot overnight according to the anglers 

I'm not seeing the red baits thrown today . Mostly chartreuse and shad colors .
