Anyone knows what’s the best reel for casting distance and it’s light weight ? Price is not limit.

Others have posted in DC discussions that the DC improves reliability, but costs distance.  

I'll be in the camp that low loaded spool mass and good spool bearings to match your weight niche are the way to get max distance.  

 

Almost off topic, no LW baitcaster is in the league with my custom Abu CT's - they double the distance of any LW reel.

The Abu 6500CT still holds the world record for casting distance IIRC at 305yd.  This was set back in 2004.

If you loosen things up, almost any casting reel will get good distance. With my own reels, it's an older ABU5500C.

All of the top competitors use Abu Garcias because when you push the button it's in total free spool.

As mentioned lure weight is a big factor, rod, line then reel needs to be considered. 

What do you prefer low profile or round reels and what in your mind is light weight??

The Shimano Antares 70A is the longest casting reel I have ever used.  I can pretty much empty the spool but as stated above the rod and lure make the difference.   

The rod has more to do with casting distance, that said, given the same rod, “most anglers” with varying weights would get more distance out of a Met DC or Antares DC......or Conquest Calcutta 100 DC.

i fish carolina rig with a 3/4 oz sinker most of the time.casting distance is key for me . prefer low profile bait caster and weight around 5 oz.

well in that case you don't want to go there, but in case truly want to get distance, I guarantee Antares DC.

carolina rig most time, using 3/4 oz egg sinker with light weight plastic worm like dead ringers. prefer low profile bait caster that is around 5 oz. for the rod im thinking the shimano poison andrena 74 heavy action(i have the 73 medium heavy as well). i currently use g loomis conquest 903c , but i feel the casting ability is not as good as my 73 andrena medium heavy.

i have the met dc, im wondering if  Antares dc can out cast met dc, by the way, i fish carolina rig with 3/4 oz sinker most time .

I am not a fan for the original Carolina rig using a egg sinker, bead and swivel with leader = 3 knots to fail.

I prefer the slip shot rig; main line is the leader tied directly to the hook. The weight being a cylinder style, glass bead and Carolina stopper to hold the weight at what length from the hook you desire. Using small finesse worms like Dead Ringer, a 3/8-1/2 oz black Top Brass Pro-Jo weight and 1/0 Owner 5133 hook using 10 lb copolymer line or 11 lb Sunline Armillo Nylon line. 1 knot with a line that doesn’t drag the bottom and light weight strong hook. 

Your MHF rods and reels are good. If you go to 3/4 oz use 2 Keepers of Peg the bead with Rubber peg-it.

casting beyond your ability to detect a strike  is too far. With C-rigs / slip shot and finesse worms the bass will swallow it and end up gut hook hooked before you know it.

Just get the Antares MD DC and it fits your needs. Anteras MD DC is same size of Anteras DC just it is Called monster drive, which is really monster drive and I cant tell you enough of casting distance of it. also I am going to make video about it on YouTube for sake of some other post here with same reel.

Yes

you can also pick your spool bearings to make sure that it can cast the weight:  

(these are Hedgehog spool bearing grades)

look like you have the steez a tw as well, how would you compare with that one ?
