I am looking for a new casting rod around $200 or less to pair with my Daiwa Tatula SV TW.  It will be used in large lakes and rivers in my area for texas rigs (1/4 oz-3/8oz), spinnerbaits (3/8oz), square bill and lipless crankbaits (3/8oz-1/2oz), jigs (3/8oz), and possibly carolina rigs (no larger than 1/2oz).  Not sure if I should break it down into technique specific rods or not since I'm using various lures and artificial baits.  I've been looking at the St Croix Premier rod, Daiwa Tatula Elite rods, and the G. Loomis E6X rods.       

Out of those choices, it would be the Daiwa Tatula Elite for sure!!

That's asking a lot of one rod but I have used one for all that you have mentioned > St. Croix Avid 7' MH Fast.   I use it as my main kayak rod.  I don't tend to take but 1 or 2 rods when I go out.  I like to keep it simple.   This rod though will handle a lot things well but excels at T-rig soft plastic and topwater.  It gets by with crankbaits but I prefer a moderate-fast or moderate rod for that technique. 

 

I have one Premier and it's OK but not as good as the Avid.  It's definitely worth the extra few bucks.   Not a fan of the Loomis EX6 rods but love most all other rods from Loomis.  I can't speak for the Tatula rods.  Good Luck.

I've been using one of the St. Croix Victory rods for a few weeks now and really enjoying it. They have one called "The Grunt", that's kind of a do everything rod that you might want to take a look at.

if it were me i would look to the Loomis MBR taper for the do everything type rod.

 

I would look at the 2018 model Loomis E6X MBR903C. I have the 2015 version and the 7'6 length combined with the MBR taper is a great combo 

 

the first generation E6X rods were hit and miss but the updated 2018 ones are much better (lighter and better balanced)

Yes if you want a do it all u need the E6x mbr 3 power. Or possibly the megabass levante diablo.
